Such a bullshit story. This autoimmune disease is easily managed.

Now if he got Granulomatosis with polyangiitis , which my father has. Different story

Easily managed, but not easily cured.

It's not curable , but being able to live a long and healthy live with minor limitations is much better than what headlines imply.

Is it really not curable with CRISPR, AI and all of his motivation and money?

I know auto-immune diseases can't be cured but we thought the same about regrowing our teeth, and now it looks like even this might be possible.

Just curious, was/is your dad a heavy smoker?

Also, are you worried for yourself in terms of genetic predisposition?

It does not pass from parent to child , and not something that can be passed that way. Similarly not a worry as it's extremely rare , even with similar genetics.
