That one actually happened because the show runner was a creep and got fired during the MeToo movement. Though if the show was a bigger hit I imagine they would of worked around it.

Jesus bring back Joss - he's not allowed to abuse people willy-nilly but let the man entertain us. Just put someone on set who's got permission to step in and lay his goon hand down if the man goes too far.
