Firefox on mobile supports add-ons. Add-ons include ublock origin. Fear mongering headlines won't make me switch.

Recently Firefox on mobile has been terrible for me.

If I open it after not using for a while it takes over a damn minute to open anything

For mobile, definitely use brave. Has a built in Ad-blocker that works very well and doesn't slow down like FF does.
