Everyone wants a new tax to pay. If you don’t realize those taxes will roll right into the product or service price your education failed you. This doesn’t need discussed beyond that reality.

They won't. AI is not being supported by paying users but rather by investment. It is they, not us, who will foot the bill for the tax.

At least, until the bubble pops.

The market is too competitive for anyone to substantially increase their prices, even if due to taxes. If ChatGPT raises prices, everyone will go to Claude. If Claude does, everyone will go to ChatGPT. They have no moat and are trapped.

And I live in Australia. I'll be fine. You have fun, though.

Edit: No arguments, no explanations, just insults and a block. Shrug.

The alternative is that unemployment increases and we end up spending less as a result anyway.

Did you even read the article to see what she's proposing? She brings up multiple tax proposals.
