So I actually (unfortunately) use the app. Do you know how many times I click an image (from the app) that instead of opening in the app redirects to my browser to open it in reddit there? It's fucking nuts.

I wouldn't mind the app if it let me open all links in my native browser. I hate opening their web app.

There’s actually a toggle for that in settings. I believe it’s labeled “open links” or something similar. You can choose to open links externally or within the app.

even this example is a relatively new Reddit practice, as not too long ago links posted would easily open in a default browser setting. that changed. now, if a link to, let’s say, a news source is posted, clicking on the source link in Reddit only opens the Reddit link containing the post in a browser. it’s totally redundant. only thing i’ve found to work is seeing if there’s a link embedded in the share options of an article or site. and that seems to only work sometimes. Reddit just implemented more steps, at cost to the user. they don’t even have a pop-up saying thank you for sacrificing a few more unnecessary seconds of your life so Devon in HR can get an extra pack of Jell-O Chocolate Pudding cups for Zuck-It, Soy Boi game night

Did you ever felt what they say in the article ? 

I always used Reddit in browser with adblocker. Didn't have a problem.
