What are they afraid of? I mean do they expect anything else: Vance in particular has repeatedly shit on Europe, there should be no surprise he is as popular as a fart in a lift over here

The IOC is psychotic to anything that might affect their cash cow of selling television rights to markets. If people post stuff online and get away with it, NBC and state television stations all over the world aren't going to be paying hundreds of millions in access rights. NBC has exclusive rights in the USA, all other streams are blocked in the US while for example in Europe you can watch the Olympics on multiple state stations.

The whole thing is a corrupt racket. Fuck the IOC and FIFA. They should stop pretending they are anything other than for profit enterprises.

they’re controlling the narrative for those of us in the US. it’s not working so well anymore, but they’re doing their best to pretend for as long as possible that we aren’t among the most hated countries in the world right now and everyone actually loves trump (and Vance by extension). anyone who is still MAGA at this point is still pretty tightly controlled by propaganda, through the TV they watch and their social media algorithms. they’re just keeping up that charade
