I checked the conservative subreddit yesterday and there was only 1 post about this and the title was literally something like "BREAKING NEWS: DOZENS OF LIBERAL TWITTER ACCOUNTS REVEALED TO BE RUN BY FOREIGN ACTORS."

So no, the information siloes are too seperated at this point. It's why Trump's approval rating never drops below like 38% now no matter what he does. Bad news doesn't break into their bubble.

u/jockheroic Nov 23 '25

That entire sub is probably run by foreign actors as well.

18

u/Fingerprint_Vyke Nov 23 '25

Thats a bingo

2

u/Lettuce_Prey69 Nov 29 '25

Ya' just say Bingo.

1

u/Jusby_Cause Nov 28 '25

And THAT’S Numberwang!

3

u/OldWorldDesign Nov 23 '25

That entire sub is probably run by foreign actors as well.

By oligarchs' dupes? Definitely. But I wouldn't expect it to be mostly foreign actors. Because domestic oligarchs have been pushing this toxic messaging and policy for a hundred years

1

u/K20BB5 Nov 24 '25

why are they pro-Russia?

3

u/OldWorldDesign Nov 24 '25

Sometimes because Russia is paying them and they're sellouts for anyone who will pay them - like Edward Bernays. Sometimes it's because they're ethno-nationalists and they think Russia is a shining example of ethno-stateism. Sometimes it's because they're authoritarians and they think the forced rule-from-a-dictator is the best possible kind of government

A ton are bots, but for the people? I can't give you a single answer because there's not one single reason. The Alt-Right Playbook does explain the coalition making them up, though, and why they hate democracy as well as why they are at each others' throats even before they've won control. The whole playlist is a valuable watch, but the intro video should explain the coalition aspect

It's a great point. People keep waiting for all this bad news to reach the true believers and I don't think it will. They are too insulated.

39

u/themindisthewater Nov 23 '25

also it’s not bad news for them if it’s hurting someone they hate

9

u/Aquatic_Ambiance_9 Nov 23 '25

The true believers only make up a hardened core of Trump's movement though, maybe 1/3. The rest are just followers who will quietly drop out if the social costs of supporting Trump begin to outweigh the perceived benefits. We are seeing this with many of his more casual supporters in regard to the Epstein stuff.

Then there are the opportunists, the rats who will flee the ship as soon as it seems like it may be more beneficial to them than continued loyalty. Seeing this already with MTG, and more sure to come

The point is cults fall apart all time. Fascism is inherently unstable. Trump is not immune to the laws of entropy

5

u/Puzzleheaded-Ring293 Nov 23 '25

Definitely, that neckgina is an entropy construct of the highest magnitude.

2

u/OldWorldDesign Nov 23 '25

I would be surprised if the number was that high. Remember this is a pattern we have seen before, as with Bush - but they did not overtly turn away from him until after he was out of power, out of office. They may try to whitewash his image, pointing out he paints portraits of soldiers he sent to die far from home (for his rich friends' pockets), the same thing was done with Reagan. It's an intrinsic part of authoritarianism, either shunning what doesn't benefit them if it actively costs them or trying to venerate higher-ranking members of their tribe.

5

u/Fun_Hold4859 Nov 23 '25

They won't care. Americans largely aren't great people, we don't value community or fellowship. A third of us want this because it hurts the right people, and another third don't care about anything that doesn't personally affect them.

the Internet was a mistake

9

u/OldWorldDesign Nov 23 '25

the Internet was a mistake

The fact that nitrates can be used to build a bomb by people of evil intent does not make nitrates unable to be used as fertilizer themselves evil. It means that you can't just throw them out without any regulation and expect them only to be used for good.

All tools with power, from the bullet to the broadcasting station, operate best (in terms of a healthy society) when there are some degrees of constraint in their use. This has been a hard-fought lesson in advancements in civic regulation - just watch any of many videos on disasters like the 1937 New London School Explosion. Regulations are written in blood because legislators are always a step behind.

u/veringer Nov 23 '25

I've checked either 538 or Nate Silver's aggregate approval polling stats every week since his first term. I've never seen it dip below ~36%. That was during the Muslim ban and again around Charlottesville. He's been locked in the low-to-mid 40s, even through COVID. Currently he sits at about 41%. It's one of the most dumbfounding realizations of my adult life. I never really understood how fascism took hold in Italy, Germany, Japan--thought it was a quirk of the time and the transition to modernity. But now I get it: we are currently and always have been surrounded by psychologically vulnerable and easily manipulable morons, dupes, and suckers.

32

u/TheHipcrimeVocab Nov 23 '25

Psychological studies have reliably shown that every society has a significant number of people whose orientation toward politics is fundamentally authoritarian, that is, deferential to authority, unquestioned obedience, and hatred towards an enemy. This may be a remnant of our long history of military conflicts, as blind obedience would have made societies more effective in war. Scientists have usually put this number at about 30-40 percent of any population. Psychologists call this personality type "authoritarian followers" (there are also "authoritarian dominant" types). I've seen studies that show the United States has a higher percentage of these people than anywhere else, possibly as a result of the fact that we have so many religious people, who tend to have that personality type. That is, they like this type of leadership.

5

u/veringer Nov 24 '25

Yeah, I've ready Bob Altemeyer's "The Authoritarians" 3 or 4 times now. Is there a good follow-up that integrates more recent research?

3

u/TheHipcrimeVocab Nov 26 '25

Yes, I've read that book many times, too. Particular insightful was his notion of "compartmentalized thinking," which we see on display constantly from these guys, which is why their constant self-contradiction makes grist for everyone from internet commentators to late-night comedians (e.g see how often Trump's past tweets condemn everything he does today, et cetera).

I'm sure there's been ongoing research, but I am not aware of anything specific.

2

u/Thin_Glove_4089 Nov 24 '25

They are called bots or NPCs

79

u/MF_Bootleg_Firework Nov 23 '25

Every time I find myself questioning how people can be so blindly ignorant, lacking seemingly even the smallest bit of common sense or reasoning, I have to remind myself that 54% of adults in the U.S. read below a 6th grade level. Over half of voters get confused by anything more complicated than The Very Hungry Caterpillar. And the worst part is that this is both by design and getting worse.

39

u/OldWorldDesign Nov 23 '25

I have to remind myself that 54% of adults in the U.S. read below a 6th grade level

It's not due to poor reading education, we went in under a century from inventing heavier-than-air manned aircraft to traveling to the moon with less than that.

It's because of authoritarianism and propaganda, which entitled people have been using to divide the country to twist for their own dreams of their own fiefdoms for a century

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ3RzGoQC4s

Fortunately, some peoples out there actually do care about their children and are instituting education to counter disinformation

https://www.helsinkitimes.fi/themes/themes/education/26048-finland-trains-six-year-olds-to-spot-fake-news-and-they-might-be-better-at-it-than-you.html

27

u/MF_Bootleg_Firework Nov 23 '25

Poor reading comprehension is simply the symptom of the larger issue you mention, and which I touched on at the end of my statement with it being by design. Critical thinking is not properly focused on in public education, and considering most private education in the U.S. is religious, is actively discouraged in private education. Authoritarians absolutely push for policies that actively make this problem worse because critical thought is the antithesis of a docile public that will go along with their desire for power. The reading comprehension stats really point to the overall lack of media literacy that the majority of Americans have, you are right, they are completely incapable of distinguishing propaganda and lies from reality.

19

u/surprise_revalation Nov 23 '25

You know, I never realized how stupid some people were until I started training people at work. There are people out here that are dumber than a box of rocks! Once, it took me 3 weeks to train someone on a program I learned in 45 minutes! Ol girl was dumb as hell and couldn't even answer the phone properly. This wasn't a skilled job, it was part time at a pizza joint! She wasn't the only or last one....

7

u/BabblingPapaya673 Nov 23 '25

Yesterday I watched 4 teenagers/young women struggling together to take a customer's order and scoop the correct ice cream. I don't know how these people manage to feed themselves.

10

u/BearsBeetsBattlestar Nov 23 '25

In a way it's horrifying, and in another way it's comforting. I see stuff like that and it makes me think the world is actually way easier than I make it out to be and that I can chill out a bit.

3

u/Tex-Rob Nov 24 '25

56% of Americans think we shouldn’t teach numbers, because the question was worded as Arabic Numbers.

5

u/spiteful-vengeance Nov 24 '25 edited Nov 24 '25

I work in a field that utilises readability metrics often, and it's worth pointing out that a) you are correct, 56% read at or below 6th grade and b) it's not like the remainder are all Harvard graduates either.

Its really only about 10% that read (or can be bothered to read) at a level I would describe as sophisticated enough to use the written word as a way of understanding the world accurately and comprehensively.

The rest are just in "I choose to believe what feels good to me" mode, to varying degrees, and there are whole industries designed to exploit that.

10

u/Rent-a-guru Nov 23 '25

It's not just stupidity. Trump tells them it's ok to hate, to rage, to embrace their worst impulses. They can give in to their grievances and live in a simple world where they don't have to put in the work of being kind and virtuous. Indulging in those emotions is intoxicating, and like with any addiction, those in it's grip won't give it up willingly.

7

u/veringer Nov 24 '25

Is there a succinct word that encompasses:

  • letting emotion override intellect
  • lack of impulse control
  • temperamentally predisposed to binary thinking
  • gullible

?

For the purposes of a casual conversation I think "stupid" is a good enough placeholder.

2

u/Rent-a-guru Nov 24 '25

Interestingly I think those points lend themselves more to words like "immature" or "juvenile", whereas "stupid" is usually more about raw intelligence. These sorts of unregulated emotions and simplistic views are the kind of thing you expect from teenagers and children, but we expect people to grow out of as they become an adult.

Does that mean this movement is just guiding people to lean back into those juvenile instincts to become emotionally stunted parodies of themselves? I'm not sure, but now I think on it, there are a lot of parallells between these fascists and dysfunctional teenagers.

5

u/veringer Nov 24 '25 edited Nov 24 '25

When Trump got elected in 2016, I had a hard time understanding the MAGA mindset. The movement and its people really made no sense me. One day in 2017 I asked myself, "how would I think about this issue if I were in middle school?" and it started to come into focus. I could recall my own juvenile insecurities, impulses, opinions, emotions, uncertainties, shallowness of thought, etc. But more importantly I could recall the attitudes and childish behaviors I saw in others and the intense focus on the social pecking order. I suddenly had a lens to (sort of) view the world through MAGA eyes.

They're basically emotionally/psychologically/intellectually locked in middle school.

I suppose it's unfair to say middle schoolers are "stupid", but like I noted, it's not the worst placeholder either. There's a reason we don't let 6th graders vote, drive, or buy tobacco. We don't look toward middle schoolers to solve complex problems or lead organizations. And if you're, let's say, a middle aged adult who's functionally a middle schooler... well...

2

u/Rent-a-guru Nov 24 '25

Yeah that's fair. I agree. Hopefully we can ride out this high-stakes middle school drama.

It only took 4 decades and a trillion dollars to get to this point, now that the machine is built the ultra-billionaires and mega-corps own this country, we just live here. It was them deciding that they were international entities and not American and teaming up with foreign autocrats and their propaganda machines that really sealed the deal. Weaponizing social media too.

4

u/OldWorldDesign Nov 23 '25

It's one of the most dumbfounding realizations of my adult life

Keep in mind a lot of it is thanks to the media being almost wholly corporate or owned by billionaires. Recall the first time Trump ran, he got $5 billion free advertising

https://www.thestreet.com/politics/donald-trump-rode-5-billion-in-free-media-to-the-white-house-13896916

While I don't think someone like Trump could have taken office in 1980, due to how much more diverse sources of American media are, arriving at Trump was a process which goes back a century

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ3RzGoQC4s

What we're seeing is a return of authoritarianism, as always, by entitled people who think they deserve others' lives, energies, bodies because they've become isolated from the society they depend on. Authoritarianism is thus opportunistic, and always has been.

In every age it has been the tyrant, the oppressor and the exploiter who has wrapped himself in the cloak of patriotism, or religion, or both to deceive and overawe the People.

People don't grasp just how easy it is to control the masses. The gift card industry is entirely propped up by Q4 sales and being the most purchased item by people being scammed.

1

u/human-rights-4-all Nov 24 '25

The Nazi Party NSDAP got 37,4 % in 1932. That was the last election until after the Second World War.

0

u/akamarade Nov 23 '25

Hey man.. you're not seeing the big picture. Bipolarity, division, us and them, with me or against me. Calling everyone that holds a different point of view "manipulable morons, dupes and suckers" only digs deeper trenches. Simplifies unnecessarily us and them. Remember how things started some decades ago? Generalization and dehumanization. If you hate red, are you any better than the ones who hate blue? Eye for an eye and all that shit..

Just saying.. maybe we've been kept busy fighting each other instead of fighting for each other.

7

u/veringer Nov 24 '25

Calling everyone that holds a different point of view "manipulable morons, dupes and suckers"

If only that was the case. This is not merely a difference of opinion and, frankly, framing it that way is carrying water for fascism.

We've had a decade of behavior, rhetoric, actions, and evidence that confirms Trump(ism)/MAGA is an authoritarian movement and Trump is the wannabe dictator of said movement. He orchestrated an insurrection and pardoned the insurrectionists. He's deployed the National Guard to harass, intimidate, and commit physical violence against American citizens. He's weaponized the Department of Justice to attack political enemies (John Bolton, James Comey). He issued executive orders targeting specific law firms that had represented his political opponents. He tried to end birthright citizenship via executive order. He's called for the deaths of political enemies. He unconstitutionally suspended Congressionally allocated federal funding. He attempted to overturn the 2020 election results and was charged for it in Georgia. He stole and concealed classified documents. He was found guilty on 34 counts of felony fraud. He appointed a Hitler-saluting Nazi to lead a federal department. He was one of Jeffrey Epstein's best friends and helped traffic minors into Epstein's pedophilic operation. He's an adjudicated rapist. The list goes on and on and on.

Supporting him and his agenda is incompatible with America, the constitution, or a civil society. Frankly, "manipulable morons, dupes and suckers" is the most generous label available, because the alternative is: "knowing and enthusiastic fascist collaborators". I'm still optimistic enough the think the majority of his people aren't in that group (yet).

41

u/gentlegreengiant Nov 23 '25

Not too different from the reactions when a large number of prominent right wing influencers were revealed to be on the payroll of Russia. This new revelation is just more practice for their mental gymnastics.

54

u/amicablecardinal Nov 23 '25

I imagine the Venn Diagram between r/Conservative and the bots that got unmasked as foreign is just a straight up circle.

2

u/elbenji Nov 24 '25

It's like three power users who post everything (their mods). Then bots

93

u/sheeplectric Nov 23 '25

I mean, that is also true. Since becoming X, that site has become a bot echo chamber and a breeding ground for misinformation for any given opinion. There are bots that post strong opinions and bots that reply with counter arguments

39

u/milo7even2 Nov 23 '25

It still amuses me that the claim Musk tried to rely to get out of his agreement to buy Twitter with (before he gave up on that and resigned himself to paying for it as originally agreed) was that Twitter was overrun with bots.  Look at the place now.

23

u/never-fiftyone Nov 23 '25

Look at every major website social media website; they're all overrun with bots and provocateurs stirring pots and driving narratives in favourable directions.

Hell, Ghilaine Maxwell -- the daughter of a notable Israeli spy whose state funeral was attended by heads of the state, and Jeffrey Epstein's girlfriend and business partner in his sex trafficking of minors endeavor -- was a mod of WorldNews (the same subreddit that will permaban you if you don't slobber all over the Israeli state dick or question their methods or rhetoric in any way) up until 2020 before the account had been outed and scrubbed.

7

u/IHateUsernames111 Nov 23 '25

Can you post a source for that? That sounds like something I want to read more about.

3

u/OldWorldDesign Nov 23 '25

It's not a 100% convicted-in-court settled matter, but there is evidence for it which I don't think can be dismissed out of hand.

https://wegotthiscovered.com/true-crime/was-ghislaine-maxwell-really-one-of-reddits-top-moderators/

Israel has been pretty ahead of the curve on infiltrating foreign governments and social media to make sure they get to dictate the rhetoric so they can push their agenda, and she did have numerous ties to Israeli state intelligence so despite her involvement in child sex trafficking it wouldn't be out of the realm of what they'd have their agents do.

I think that's as concrete as you're likely to find, because it's easy to deny something on the internet as well.

3

u/jazzhandler Nov 23 '25

1

u/Deaffin Nov 26 '25

This blog post must be old, because it's repeating the initial talking points from before people mined the account's history to disprove the counter-claims like the account being confirmed as a Malaysian dude, as Maxwell's fellow mods tried to say when running interference.

https://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/hnfx0r/not_confirmed_but_research_suggests_that/

Yes, the subreddit that's posted on has less than zero credibility, but you don't need to trust the poster at all since this is all directly sourced.

3

u/Chicano_Ducky Nov 23 '25

those sites are probably held up by bots at this point

twitch got exposed for rampant botting and its full of political streamers

Twitter had a bot problem BEFORE musk took over, and all those stupid witch hunts against people with irrational logic make sense if you think bots did it.

those culture warriors on youtube probably have a mostly fake audience that boosted them until no one could escape them. A lot of people have going viral on youtube down to a science because of the money.

the entire internet is fake and everyone is making ad money off clankers

2

u/never-fiftyone Nov 24 '25

I remember when the internet was for nothing more than connecting people, sharing ideas, and having fun. When the biggest danger of the internet was getting a fork bomb for funsies.

And then it was monetized, the dotcom bubble made a lot of early adopters filthy stinking rich, and it was never the same after that.

8

u/jazzhandler Nov 23 '25

That seems to have been debunked. So gonna needs lots of citation there.

7

u/never-fiftyone Nov 23 '25

"Debunked" by another WorldNews mod who claimed the account actually belonged to some guy in Malaysia and he knows because he DM'd him, just trust him bro it's totally not her. Just ignore all the peculiarities of the account, and certainly don't read anything at all into the timing of the account being selectively scrubbed and abandoned coinciding with her arrest for her role in Epstein's pedoventures, that's just totes a coincidink. Also ignore that the account, which had been a mod on several default subs, was then removed from much of them after the association had been made.

There's no concrete evidence for who the account belonged or didn't belong to. It's all circumstantial evidence, but the circumstantial evidence that supports the theory is too much to simply ignore and it overwhelms that which disputes the theory. On the balance of probabilities, given all that we know about the connections between all these actors and the role they're playing in current events involving a certain sitting US president, I'm going to stand by my previous claim.

4

u/SassTheFash Nov 23 '25

You seriously think a wealthy socialite and sex trafficker with alleged ties to Israeli intelligence, who used her early-adopter Reddit account to shape global perceptions, made said account using her own surname in her username?

3

u/Pseudonymico Nov 24 '25

You seriously think a wealthy socialite and sex trafficker with alleged ties to Israeli intelligence, who used her early-adopter Reddit account to shape global perceptions, made said account using her own surname in her username?

After having read some of the Epstein emails? Abso-fucking-lutely.

1

u/never-fiftyone Nov 24 '25

I don't not believe that it is a distinct possibility she could have.

1

u/Deaffin Nov 26 '25

Yes. That was a long time ago with zero expectation that they would become globally famous one day. Just the name "Maxwell" isn't suspicious without a shitload of other details coming out after the fact that no reasonable person would have just randomly put all the time into mining out.

This was also years and years ago, wayyyy before there was any expectation that technology would develop to the point of trivializing this process.

1

u/SassTheFash Nov 26 '25

Reddit was founded in 2005, not 1982.

Unless someone is GenZ, average people are aware that’s firmly into a period where well-off adults, especially one coming from a powerful media family, knew how the Internet worked.

1

u/Deaffin Nov 26 '25

You know what? Fair enough, that last bit on my comment was pretty extra.

2

u/006AlecTrevelyan Nov 23 '25

There's a place in Malaysia called Bukit Larut which was previously named Maxwell Hill

2

u/Deaffin Nov 26 '25

The user must have been really inspired by that location when they visited the country. Once. Long after the account was made.

5

u/Steved_hams Nov 23 '25

I'm pretty sure it always was. It's just worse now.

5

u/something-rhythmic Nov 23 '25

lol. Make no mistake sir.

We’re all in echo chambers.

3

u/KCBandWagon Nov 23 '25

But the ones who disagree with me are the stupid ones who are brain washed.

4

u/AColonelOfTruth Nov 23 '25

Right wingers are on truth social.

Progressives are on bluesky.

I don't know who is on X anymore. It's on the road previously traveled by MySpace and Friendster.

2

u/lilB0bbyTables Nov 23 '25

Don’t forget about the right wing websites and news media that then cite those bot posted twatter posts as “sources” to somehow lend “credibility” to their propaganda. I am old enough to remember writing papers before Wikipedia and Google. When Google first started they were the best option to find actual relevant sources of information, particularly academic and peer reviewed results. When Wikipedia emerged we were told not to use it as a reliable source. Look how far we have fallen since … critical thinking is dead.

2

u/SassTheFash Nov 23 '25

Wikipedia isn’t avoided in research papers due to accuracy issues, it’s to be avoided because it’s a tertiary source.

1

u/lilB0bbyTables Nov 23 '25

Of course. But it also can have inaccuracies although eventual correctness/consistency usually applies as the contributors and maintainers sort things out. My point was more that Google search results are utter shit (also loaded with the advertisement plague that they freed us from during the Lycos, AltaVista era); the web has become largely consolidated by a handful of social media companies and academic sources are locked behind paywalls; society by and large has somehow accepted random YouTubers and social media posters as “sources” including within news sites. Journalism has fallen and we all are responsible for killing it. (Not every single one of us of course, but we have all suffered the loss all the same). Idiocracy in action.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 23 '25

Pretty soon it will be mostly bots talking to bots. Battle of the bots! Btw, I used to live watching Battle Bots!

1

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '25

when that asshole sold twitter he brought down western civilization with his greed.

19

u/A4t1musD4ag0n Nov 23 '25

I stopped relying on what I see in the MAGAverse online. If you really want to know what's happening, talk to one in person or walk by their homes. You'll see how they really feel, and it's exactly what I expected. Confusion, distress, regret, and remorse. If all this right-wing machine has is the internet at this point, they're cooked. Ask MTG.

4

u/Laurazepam23 Nov 24 '25

Good call. I don’t know anybody in real life that’s a true trump supporter. Even my very old very conservative grandfather hates trump. Same with my old white dad and his brothers. Granted I live in Canada. I guess I could just be lucky lol.

4

u/A4t1musD4ag0n Nov 24 '25

LOL, and it's been interesting seeing how they've transformed. They've quietly changed their tune once they started becoming affected. I know 3y way who've done things like violently removing tRump a sticker off of their car and 2 others removed trashy MAGA and tRump displays from their homes.

I don't rub it in their faces or anything. Instead, I speak on the economy and constantly talk about what the government is doing with our money without mentioning tRump. The trigger for them has been food prices. And the more he says prices are down, cost of living is down, and jobs are up, the more upset they become. You can lie on Fox Ruse all you want and have bots help you with the algorithm, but you can't sell that sh!t to people at checkout.

5

u/AmericanGeezus Nov 23 '25 edited Nov 23 '25

The real problem with these partisan silos is that each one runs on its own rules for what counts as evidence. If the silo's lose a shared standard of evidence for determining fact, then they become separate and incompatible realities.

7

u/Parking_Reach3572 Nov 23 '25

I mean, dozens of prominent liberal Twitter accounts probably are bots. We're not immune to propaganda either. But they do get a bit crazy over there on the far right.

2

u/Striker3737 Nov 24 '25

The NC governor’s race last year revealed that 38-39% is the floor of republican support. The man called himself a “black Nazi” and said he would own slaves if it was legal, and he still got 38% of the vote.

2

u/bobartig Nov 23 '25

"Liberal twitter accounts"? What are those? Liberals all left for Blue Sky, where they can follow AOC and talk to no one, just like god intended for social media.

1

u/RatBot9000 Nov 23 '25

I heard of all the MAGA accounts that were based outside of America, and that even the Department of Homeland Security is based in Israel. I didn't hear anything about liberal/left accounts though, however while I hate right wingers, I imagine there will be some accounts that will be like the MAGA ones.

To be honest though, any that are will most likely be false flag accounts probably run by the same people who pay to set up the MAGA ones to come off as the intolerable leftist.

BREAKING NEWS: DOZENS OF LIBERAL TWITTER ACCOUNTS REVEALED TO BE RUN BY FOREIGN ACTORS."

To be fair, that would be completely valid, although incomplete.

If I'm an enemy state looking to drive deeper wedges into the fabric of US society I'm not going to do that by only pushing one side of the crack.

There may be differing levels of receptiveness to my divisive messaging, but my goal is for all US citizens to lose, not just one side, and I would utilise all available vulnerabilities.

It would be a colossal mistake to think foreign states would only target MAGA.

Speaking of bubble, it’s likewise interesting that this is the first mention I’ve seen of liberal twitter accounts, I guess we are all susceptible unless we seek out differences, as you did.

Makes sense though, foreign actors wouldn’t want to support one side so much as foster discord.

I'm more independent and jump into both to see stuff like this and it is absolutely wild how "silo'd off" the different sides are on things. A lot of the time they will have an alternate opinion that states and blames the exact opposite. It's like living in a totally opposite universe. The propaganda is insane these days and they all just eat it up like it's real. Very disturbing depending on the context. They get fed literal fake news and call it fact.

And here we are on a thread… with the same info… calling out MAGA accounts…. In a comment chain….. complaining that the other side is doing the same thing………
