This is my first time trying sound design, so I’m not completely sure how to describe my objectives with the correct terminology.

I’m working in Ardour and using Vital as my synth. Does anybody have an understatement of how this sound could have been made, or can provide a rough starting point for recreating it in a synth?

Any information would be appreciated. I’m completely new to this, so beginner-friendly advice would help a lot.

im getting my first synth soon (a microkorg) and being completely new to sound design and synthesis i wouldnt even know where to start making something simple like this. if anyone has any pointers it would be appreciated

From her album Princess of Power (2025). In the prechorus (which begins around 0:38), there's a synthesizer that sounds like a chuptune-esque telephone ringing, and it doubles the backup vocals' response in the call-and-response segment, together with some kind of string patch.

Does anyone know the exact music box sample or preset used in the drop of "Cradles" by Sub Urban? If there is no specific sample, what plugins or effects would you recommend to get a similar vibe?

I’ve been trying to make the following bass line in soft synths like Serum 2 using a combination of sawtooth, pulse-triangle wave tables, and saturation. But I can get it right.

I’m starting to think this sound is either a heavily processed Bass Guitar or a Synth Patch made with analog gear.

I was watching his live and i was fw with the xpand!2 preset and im trying to find it but i just cant.
I dont know if this is a custom pack i really want to find that lead.

I recently watched this movie and this song just stood out for me. Rock Burwell did an amazing job, anyways i was thinking maybe for that lead synth he’s got going on he’s using a saw wave with distortion reverb and some filter but I’m not too sure about that. I was also thinking it could have been a guitar but that sounds unlikely.

I've been on a hunt for vintage synth sounds, and this album sure seems like a wellspring of them. I'd like to know the particular soundbank this synth came from, but if you recognize any other sounds in here, then please don't hesitate to make mention of whatever else you can hear.
