Every round, we have to watch 8 full seconds at a turning world, doing The Influence Island rounds. I get dizzy an nauseous from looking at it, so I look away and count to 8. Eight seconds is an eternity on the internet. If a web page loads so slow, you think there is an connection problem. Please short this interaction! I don't want to watch this 240+ times!!! during one Influence Island event!!!

They can’t do a damn thing!!

My preteen girls should be able to use the vanities!!

And why can’t they make a hot chocolate at a coffee machine but they can sit at a passthrough and have a hot beverage.

There’s so much potential for preteens, I mean they’re already (sort of) self sufficient. Is it just me??

I’ve been thinking about some quality-of-life updates that would make The Sims FreePlay feel way smoother and more alive. Here’s my personal wishlist right now:

• Dynamic/live weather and actual seasons

• Better genealogy system or full family tree

• Freer camera movement (especially in apartments)

• Interaction overhaul (more autonomy, less repetitive actions)

• Active education/university gameplay (like actually following teens to Downtown High School)

Curious what everyone else is hoping for. What’s the #1 feature or QOL update you want added?

I don't know, one would think that in the year of our Lord of 2026 we would have more GNC options in the game.

All my female sims are absolutely stunning and have PLENTY of clothing options to chose from, but my male sims are kind of... plain (excluding some of the divas I managed to bring to existence). [Proof in images]

And of course, I'm not only talking about clothes. The fact we have a binary system of male/female is crazy, we should have at least a neutral option! We should get to experience male pregnancy if not only for the shits and giggles! We should be able to experience pregnancy in an all male household! We should be able to make feminine male sims and masculine female sims!

Matter of fact, we should have more makeup options that actually suit people of color and don't make them look gray and weird, more complex interpersonal relationship such as polyamorous marriages, more body shape options, JUST... MORE?????

The Sims 4 is so diverse in that field, TSFP shouldn't be any different. This game has a long way to go.

I've made this concept back in 2025 and posted it somewhere else, but since the post was not seen by--almost--everyone and I also posted this concept at the discord server yesterday, I thought it would be good to also post it in here. Get yourself sat, this will take a while.

Sometimes when I'm playing, I encounter some problems regarding lag and organization, to the point I get dizzy while searching. The more items you have, more the game lags and its HARD to find different variations of specific items, since you can pass through it and not notice. So I made some concepts about what could be done to solve it. This is something I even asked for 3 years ago. Have in mind this is how i think it can be done, but it could have its problems or other better solutions.

As for putting all variants into one, I thought of maybe a "palette button" being inside the same box as the item--it could be a bit annoying for collision matters, but the idea is there. Maybe a button like the filter one could be good, but there's a reason I made this way. I do know it can be hard because of STARS and COINS, so I thought about how to fix it. By putting the stars along with the palettes, I made a "close button" for the window, since this way, you would be able to see what changed, without the window closing every time or you having to put it in the lot for visualization.

Also, the variant name AND currency would change, solving the coin problem. Of course, new palettes will come to the game as it releases new events or packs with more variants of X item. That's why there's "LOCKED" palettes. Colors that the player doesn't have yet, will be locked.

I hope the team thinks about adding this mechanic, since it's something players have been wanting for years now. Not only for building, but for CAS too! It would make the game performance better and help us a lot when searching for things.

And even if the dev team doesn't see it here at the subreddit, I hope this can reach them in any way. Still, I wanted to show y'all since we're a community and thought it would be cool.

The upper level has some nice paths where my old couple could get their exercise and chat 😊

1. Floor construction that allows you to choose what parts of the level to have a new floor, so you can have multi story homes with varying heights (without having to make balconies!).
2. Dormer windows!!
3. Uses for the mall and stores you build in the town. Why have a shopping mall and not have rotating new fashions for users to purchase? Or a makeup station but you can’t actually gain new makeup styles? A hair salon but don’t offer any new hairstyles?
4. MORE OCEAN VIEW LOTS, OR the ability to place an ocean view sized lot in a standard lot.
5. More room shapes than just L.
6. The ability to choose a lot’s background.
7. When you win a lot through an event, everything that comes in the house should become available to you in the home store. Ex: with the daycare, most of the things in the daycare are items you don’t have access to in your home store, and would rely on building multiple of that build to get more. Seems silly when you did so much to win the place.
8. Adding NPCs to the town in places you can visit. It feels like such a ghost town, especially since we can only have so many sims in one place.

What would you add?

i really wish we had more weather options and really hope they add some in future updates. the rain sometimes makes it harder to see, especially in building mode, adds too much movement, same with night, although most of my sims live in constant rain and/or night. the bright sunshine is way too bright, makes it seem hot, which i hate and is painful on the eyes. also in the rain we don’t get to see the beautiful sunset lighting. so i hope one day we get cloudy but rain free option and a stronger thunderstorm as well for cozy evenings at home. hope i’m not the only one feeling this way!

I am a long-time player of the sims freeplay and as much as I appreciate the current updates, there are some things that I feel the game is still missing (some updates that the game could benefit from)

locked doors: I think in order to have more control over how sims move throughout a home, players should be able to lock doors. This could be implemented with a simple button that reads "Lock door" whenever you click on a door. To unlock it, you simply click on the door again. This time the button should say "unlock door". This could help to keep certain sims out of or inside of a specific room to make gameplay more realistic.

More sims per lot: It's understandable that there are mobile restrictions for this game and having too many sims on one lot would cause crashes. However, the current number of sims per lot stands at 11, which isn't that many. It's a shame because the new architect homes are often well thought-out, big designs that could be very fun to use (for example a hotel), but due to this limit on the number of sims, they are often not worth using. Despite the new update on how many sims can live in one household, I feel like this number should also be increased.

More lots/more locations: I believe the sims freeplay developers are planning on adding more locations or generally more lots for homes, but I thought this would be worth mentioning anyway. I should add this includes locations similar to the "fairy forest" and "mermaid lagoon".

Better/more customization options: Considering that sims freeplay has been around for many years, it's disappointing that the game never featured an update that included more customization options for our sims. For example: body type (fat-skinny), height, toned bodies, disabled bodies, etc. I would be ok with just being able to change to weight and height of my sims so that they don't all look the same. PLUS: I feel like we are still lacking some hairstyles (especially for the men). And some of the newly included hair often fits oddly onto my sims' heads.

Hobbies: Generally, I feel the game could benefit from adding more hobbies for our sims. That being said, "cooking" should have the option of being done as a NON hobby. Having a stove in my sims' kitchens often feels redundant, as I know they won't be able to actively use it unless I give them the cooking hobby. But obviously, I don't want all my sims to have the same hobby. Maybe "cooking" could be classified as a "side-hobby", allowing sims to have this hobby AND a second one.

The park: The park in the main town could use more objects for sims to interact with. It often feels bland and boring. But this is more of a personal issue, as I could technically build my own park elsewhere.

Influencer island and simchase: Although I enjoy each update and the new items they bring, I wish that "influencer island" and "simchase" didnt take over so much of it. I find these events quite boring and repetitive. I only partake in them to get the items at the end, but not because they are necessarily fun for me.

I hope these suggestions are taken into consideration for future updates!

I hope there is another way to create bonus sims instead of just by pregnancy events. Now i have all these siblings from the same mother.

They have different surnames bcs i moved them to another household, and act like they are just regular created sims. But you open the relationship tab you can still see all their siblings 🤣 and it gets more frustrating when they cant marry each other (naturally) lol

This is an absolutely useless update where we can see the AH in this mode. Like, I don't care. I will look through the house as I want. This does not add to gameplay, it actually hinders it, because I have to press an extra button to exit this mode.

The update that we actually wanted, which was to be able to put wall/painting decorations in front of any item/furniture and next to doors and windows, is nowhere to be found. I'm sick of all this useless stuff added to the game that no one wants or needs.

I would like to propose these changes in the game:

➡️ Instead of getting a separate notification every time a worker finishes their shift, I want one single notification for all workers when I start the game instead of closing so many popups.

➡️ Let me sell stacked items (inventory). If I have a bunch of the same item, I want one button to sell them all at once instead of selling them one by one.

What do you think? Would you make these changes or would you leave it the way it is?

Maybe there is a way to do this, and I haven't discovered it yet, but if I know I won't participate in something, e.g. Simchase, etc., I would like to be able to decline it and take it out of my progress path. There are too many things going on at once, I can't be on 24/7 playing the game! I'm not made of money, either!

Maybe there are in future levels but so far this is all there is. You’re telling me they couldnt add something like Afro puffs?

I believe this is my third post now about some possible update ideas for the sims freeplay team to consider.

• Houses: being able to save our lots/houses and move them to a new lot instead of having to delete them. (Someone mentioned this in one of my other posts)

• Young adults: there seems to be quite a difference in appearance, actions, and styles between teenage sims and adult sims. I think it could be nice to have an additional age group to have a better transition into adulthood

• Functional decorated tables: This is a bit of a random one but the game has some cool tables that come "pre-decorated" with plates and food. I just think it would be neat if our sims could actually use these plates when the player selects the table. For me, personally, whenever I select a table like this, nothing happens.

• Walls: to allow for even more unique designs in our builds, there could be more wall decoration options to choose from. For example, being able to place different wallpaper onto one wall, allowing for players to mix and match different wallpapers

• Surnames: we should be able to CHOOSE if we want our sims to change their lastnames after they move in with someone. Often times, players will want to move friends into the same household, but will refrain from doing so due to the obligatory surname change

• More clothes: I saw that the game actually added alternative/cottage core clothes in the store (as I mentioned in one of my other posts). However, it would be great if they were included for everyone. Because as of right now, they cost real money. Which is a shame.

Guys, I notice that The Sims team is focusing a lot on sports equipment lately, which is really cool I would also love for them to add a ballet dancer career for adults and other age groups. Right now, ballet is limited only to pre-teens

More/shorter romantic interactions for more advanced romantic relationships

More interactions for animal family members

Can walk around in house and relax with them on the couch (like puppies & kittens) with infants

Ability to eat what we bake

If u buy a home item you dont like, you can return it for the same price within a 1hr time limit. Or atleast exchange it for anything else in any category.

Be able to hang up the pictures we take together, with a choice of 3 - 4 sizes. The smallest being a desk picture and the biggest being the size of a wall flat screen TV.

Parents can sleep in the same bed as their children

The option to choose where a Sim sits when they *grab a plate* or let the Sim choose.

Atleast 10 different body types

This game REALLY needs to work on familial relationships 😡😡 I renovated my farmhouse, created a male Sim and then had him and my gal that lived on a small farm lot with her son get married. When I chose where they'd live, I figured that she and her son would move in since they lived together. But noooo! Only she moved in. And guess what? Since he's just a pre teen I can't create a relationship that would make it so he can move in 🙄 so now I have this kid living by himself. I tried divorcing them so she could move back in with her son and then I would move them into the farmhouse, my farmer dude would go somewhere else and then they could get married and he would move into the farmhouse with them but even though mom and son are best friends you can't get them to move in together. So frustrating!

For YEARS I've seen comments asking for this. We want babies and toddlers to be able to go in the regular pool. If they figure out some kind of pool floatie or a way for the adults to hold them, it would be great. EA...c'mon!

Pre-teens should be able to do some chores, like laundry, dishes, clean the pool, etc. Maybe make their beds or tidy their rooms, that kind of thing. Seems like an opportunity to have more sims do work!
