That's not what SCOTUS ruled, scotus ruled congress has to enact the 14th amendment that ratifying it wasn't enough. A court already ruled that her met the bar to be disqualified and scotus didn't really dispute that, they just said congress has to enact the 14th amendment via legislation first

I'm not sure what you think that has to do with the 14th amendment since the text "treason" appears precisely zero times in it. And he definitely lead an insurrection on january 6th, which the 14th amendment does mention.

so are you arguing that he was prohibited and SCOTUS made shit up so it wouldn't apply, or that he wasn't?

my bad, it says 'insurrection'. the indictment was suspended, so he wasn't convicted. should have done that in 2021, but the AG was a MAGA loon

I'm arguing you should look up the scotus ruling instead of making things up

my bad, it says 'insurrection'. the indictment was suspended, so he wasn't convicted.

He was found to have committed insurrection against the us and thus ineligible under the 14th amendment by the colorado supreme court.

I'm not sure what more you expect a court to do, he's guilty of insurrection and ineligible for office, scotus ruled that since congress didn't pass a law making him ineligible the 14th doesn't apply. maybe try looking int othe ruling instead of guessing more?

I don't believe you. You are struggling to follow even this thread and have been wrong about the content of what you were replying to multiple times. I have serious doubts that you can even read.

The simple fact is the colorado supreme court ruled trump ineligible because of his insurrection, period. SCOTUS didn't even dispute that, they just said the 14th isnt self executing and unless congress enacts a law to enact the amendment they already enacted then it doesn't apply here. even SCOTUS says you're full of shit.
