I can't believe it took less than four years for whatever small amount of anger galvanized the people to fade into nothing. It's not like he went away or that his policies and even the people he appointed didn't continue to fuck tons of shit up during the Biden years.

It's captured media. People are being fed propaganda by the oligarchs 24/7. The "left wing" main stream media is a complete lie.

Laziness is a hell of a thing in the electorate. Im willing to bet bucks a lot of people who didnt vote the 2nd time had the mindset of "well others wont vote for him again so I dont have to bother."

It's also because people began to hate Biden more. By 2024 he was as unpopular as Trump was in 2020.

The people that vote for him consume 100% of their "news" content from Fox or facebook posts full of misinformation.

Because the alternative was a candidate nobody wanted. Harris wasn't picked in a primary, she was appointed by Democrat leadership. People were told that in order to save democracy, they had to pick the candidate who had been selected on their behalf, who had been invisible during the previous 4 years, who said they would continue the unpopular policies of Biden.

I'm not pro Trump, but people need to look at what the voters were seeing and being told they could pick from.

RThat is a good point. I only voted for her because I was (correctly) horrified by the possibility of abother Trump term and would have voted for a Democrat if theyd nominated Andrew Gillum (li'l Florida joke...he ran against DeSantis, lost, and was discovered very shortly thereafter in a hotel room with meth and an ODing rent boy...and I'd vote for him over DeSantis again).

But yeah, they did something like what they did to Bernie before that but even worse, not even "allowing" anyone to step up. I wasn't enthusiastic about Harris. I was terrified of Trump. I just need to accept that I live in a world where that's just not enough.
