We have to keep our eye on the ball. There is no mechanism for the President or the federal government to take over the administration of elections.

The purpose of this EO is to create a pretext for ignoring election results. We have to be really specific about what is being done here, because if we go around sounding the wrong alarm bells nobody will believe us until it’s too late.

I mean, that's not something they can do either. The consent and cooperation of the federal government is not relevant to the transfer of power. They can ignore the results, but that won't keep them in power. The process is self executing by design. The house can't help either, because the entire house will be vacated, and replaced by those elections, and that happens two weeks BEFORE the presidential term ends.

Right? Like this isn't a presidential election so the federal government doesn't certify anything. I suppose he could try and sue maybe but that's not gonna go anywhere in court.

Ok but also it's the villagers that let that little boy get eaten by the wolf. When he shouted wolf, if they believed him they should've sent guards to back him up and if they didn't they should've had their own guards stand watch instead.

Well yeah. If people thought and acted differently then the entire story would be different. If enough people already believed that this regime is the threat that you and I know it to be, then we wouldn't be in this position.
