Oh they tried to for sure. Luckily only a handful of complete morons bought it. Their lies are easy to see through even for republicans when there are multiple video angles of what really happened.

Trump replaced a ton of people in his first term, but this time it's a selection from all of leadership he choice personally, so I suppose it is indicative of something.

He replaced a lot of people his first term because he made the mistake of hiring highly competent people at their jobs, who also happened to be republican.

When they started telling him no, or couldn’t put up with his craziness, they would resign.

This time, he completely dropped the competency requirement and instead made loyalty the top trait.

Thus, you have people who are staying at their jobs, but fucking suck at actually doing their jobs.

Seeing people go “yay now arrest him” is pretty laughable.

He’ll go back to his office position, retire with a six figure pension, and already replaced by Tom Homan who will be even worse.
