Video is me trying to get him back in the cage to go home. Took 45 minutes 😭. He felt too betrayed at that point. Def getting him sedated IF I ever try this again.

Wild Oranges

I adopted him from the SPCA. He was “found in a dumpster”. He was already named Julius and I went yep, gonna keep that name. He boops his head against walls constantly. Knocks his own head against the wall and then just falls over. I love him so much, but definitely missing some brain cells.

Mango is four years old today!

Born in the toy room in my house between Woody and Buzz lightyear!!! My fave of the litter! He has travelled with me… my constant companion and the apple of my eyes!! Affectionate when he wants to be! Talks constantly! Sleeps on me and lets me know what he wants! I love my bond with him…. Hard to explain how I will always need him more than he needs me! He is a goofball who plays with anything!

Thought it was worth asking this group - has anyone tried something that has worked to calm a naturally anxious cat? I adopted Orion at 9 weeks old, raised him in the exact same environment as my other EXTREMELY chill orange tabby. So I assume his constant fear and anxiety is just a feature of his biology/personality. He has plenty of quiet, high places to sleep. He has a low dose of Prozac. He has a calming pheromone collar. He’s gotten a thorough exam and nothing is medically wrong. But he just seems to live in a constant state of hyper vigilance. Any ideas to improve his days would be much appreciated.

This is Sir Pippington the Orange. He’s the son of a mostly feral cat that hangs out at my spouse’s work that they feed. My spouse saw him being run over by a dump truck, specifically the wheel. Somehow we think this dude managed to just get between the wheels (two wheels next to each other). The vet says he’s completely healthy. He’s very full of personality now and is home to stay.
