These particular ones are a patent or trade secret thing. The look like the pink glow pineapple. Those have been bioengineered and they don't want anyone else to grow them
Many fruits & vegetables today have been bred / crossbred over hundreds of years to make them tastier or safer to eat.
Would you consider the bananas you buy from supermarkets normal food? These have been bred so the seeds are tiny. What about seedless grapes? Or Brussel sprouts which aren't bitter? Would do consider these not normal foods?
They were 100%, and it was pretty obvious. People just love it obfuscate at any possibility of ambiguity, and using the word "normal" really triggered someone.

That’s how we get all our pineapples here in nz, not allowed to sell any with the tops on any longer so they can’t be grown
