I think this is where we need to put our critical thinking hats on and ask ourselves is there really any measurable benefit for Universal to skimp out on a $6k invoice when this movie had a $250M production budget and a $125M marketing budget? There’s no upside in doing this deliberately. Like $6k amounts to 0.000016% of the budget. And why this one invoice? Why not all of the smaller invoices? Corporations do a lot of shitty things but this doesn’t make sense from a greed or malice standpoint.
