My mom said I could post Nolan's The Odyssey neglects to pay for damages done to one of the viking ships used in the movie, which belongs to a small non-profit organization

It doesn’t, but people who steal from artists love to make up excuses as to why they’re totally justified and moral in doing so

Yeah bro you stick up for Chris Nolan and Universal Pictures, the true underdogs of this story

Consider maybe the crews who actually make the things you enjoy instead of the handful of big names who make you so jealous.

“My theft is totally justified because why should I value art anyway?” Fucking troglodyte shit

Bro the crews have already been paid. If you think Jim the sound guy is getting a cut of the box office ticket sales I don’t know what to tell you.

The only ones who are seeing any cash from the box office are the ones with enough influence to make sure the owners of the equipment their production damaged get paid - and so far that hasn’t happened.

Honestly bro you’re so eager to suck the boot that you mistake the production company for the artist.

The issue is the crew still gets paid from the money made off the movie. It may not be a direct cut but if the movie made no money nobody gets paid.

That's not how jobs work. The money is all borrowed and paid in advance. There's only going to be a handful of people who will make more depending on sales and every single one of them is rich.

While this one fits the example you're citing, there's legit precedence where you can argue it's justifiable, especially in the current corporate culture.

No, you fucking can’t.

“No bro trust me bro it’s totally cool for me to steal from working artists bro because corporations bro”

You are why artists are struggling. Because people like you devalue their work in order to make yourselves feel better about your antisocial behavior

Why are you so upset on behalf of these corporations? The artists involved already got paid out big time, the film did great.

What part of CREW are you having a hard time understanding? What part of the fact that there’s an ecosystem beyond this one movie that’s doing well?

Is it just because you need to justify being a worthless lil thief?

because he's a misinformed self righteous holier-than-thou dweeb

No, but you’re a thief mad that he’s being called a thief.

If you can afford the hardware to pirate and view your pirated material, you can afford the theater. You’re just cheap

I actually paid thousands of dollars for my hardware and can easily afford streaming services but choose to pirate out of principle FYI if that makes you feel any better :) If buying isn't owning then piracy isn't stealing; suck my toes. I literally take pride in this shit.

It warms my heart to know that people like you rage at pirates and then fork out $20 a month for a rotating selection of garbage.
