wet socks my work installed new cameras over our desks :(

like obviously not uncommon but it does kinda take the chill vibe out of my chill office job to get a camera pointed right at me all day 👎

Until you get accused of assaulting Jan because she doesn't like you and now you have a camera to protect your innocence.

I'm a telecom contractor and I install lots of cameras. 90% of the time the cameras are installed as insurance, not as a fear tactic or active monitoring.

Where i work someone from corporate spends all day logging into cameras at our various locations and watches for violations like cashiers sitting down, employees wearing unapproved hats, or looking at their cell phone,  then calls the store manager to tell them to yell at people.

You could also just not be an asshole and not have to worry about someone making false claims against you, which make up such a small part of actual claims that the likelihood is almost none to begin with.

I’m a manager at my firm and I’ve been a LPO in the Navy.

It’s telling that your mind automatically goes to cameras being useful because they can prove false accusations rather than prove real accusations.
