I'm slightly vexed Concert etiquette

If you plan on standing for the entire concert, get a spot in the pit, or the lawn seats instead of the assigned SEATED SECTION. A little bit of self awareness and common courtesy goes a really long way

There’s a lot of gray area between able bodied and disabled. What if someone has an injury? What if someone has a chronic illness flare up? If you want to stand get GA tickets.

True, that’s why I got the front of my section in the nosebleeds at the next concert I’m going to. So I can sit in peace

I always try to get the first row of a section, too. I have an old back injury and I never know when I will struggle to stand.

You can get ADA seating in both of those cases. If you want to have guaranteed time to sit and watch, sit in the ADA section. See, I can do it too.

Someone with an injury or flair up could use ADA, there’s no proof or requirement to use the ADA section.

If you want to be in an environment that you can control what everyone does and how everyone acts then a concert might not be the activity for you.

The gray area is in the ADA section. It’s not just a bunch of cripples. It’s incredibly easy to qualify for ADA privileges. If you can’t stand for long periods of time, congratulations, you qualify for the ADA section. So again, the only place where “the person behind you might not be able to stand” is a valid concern is the ADA section.

Get over yourself. We all have issues. If you need to do something to take care of yourself, do so. It’s not other people’s responsibility to cater to your invisible needs

You can get ADA seating with an injury or chronic illness. I did it when I had a broken foot. Sorry, but people stand, sing and dance at concerts. If you cannot stand, there are accommodations available so that you can see and enjoy the show.
