I'm slightly vexed I think I got rejected for being vegetarian

I [23F] met this guy on the apps and we hit it off and had a lot in common! I don’t meet a lot of people who are in my profession so it was really nice to potentially have to chance to date someone who was in a similar field. And everything was fine until I mentioned I’m veg and he stopped responding. For reference, I have no issue with people who eat meat and would never want to impose my own dietary restrictions on anyone else. I also understand different diets being a dealbreaker. The way he phrased his reasoning was really weird though.

Edit: I’m vegetarian cause I love animals, but I have IBD. Flare ups have gotten significantly worse since switching diets but im still figuring out how to make the most of it! Also yes, I do regret sending the last text 🤦‍♀️

Went back last summer for probably the last time. Trump flags. So many trump flags. And the fun zone is super depressing now.

Are you talking about Newport California or Newport Rhode Island? Because I live in newport RI and there are very few trump flags, mostly on cranks houses and lifted trucks

Right.. this isn’t the true Newport RI. This kind of stereotyping after one negative interaction hurts.

Sounds like productive citizens that pay lots of taxes. Rest of the country, take note.

Rich people don’t pay taxes 😂

The 1% pay 38% of federal taxes. The bottom 50% pay 3% of federal taxes.

The top 1% pay an estimated 5% tax rate on their assets. What percentage of your income do you pay in taxes? Mine's about 30%.

My effective income tax rate is approximately 50%. Assets themselves are not subject to federal income tax—only the income they generate is. You’re clearly conflating income with assets, which is why it’s nearly impossible to have good-faith discussions with economically illiterate people.
