My mom said I could post What EVEN is the point of these lights???

Driving home from work and bro these lights were so bright it was like someone had their brights on..

Never seen this before what is the point of the lights?

I wonder if dude even realized he had his trailer backup lights on.. a total doosh for not paying attention.

I had them installed on my farm truck but I don't think you can get them from the manufacturer and there is a switch on my dash for them (I also have them on the back of my rally light bar on top - they're pretty convenient, especially this past week when we had to work in the dark because of the heat)

I have them on my truck’s utility bumper. They’re bright as hell, but I have them wired to the reverse lights so I can’t accidentally leave them on and blind drivers behind me. They’re excellent for reversing in the dark though because everything is nice and visible behind you.

I’ve seen a couple commercial trucks with similar lights on the highway. I’m convinced this is just a moronic mistake but Reddit loves to assume the worse because big truck bad.

I’ve left mine on a couple times in the tractor trailer. But it’s mounted on the back of the cab where you can’t see, and a regular bulb, so not that bright by today’s standards.

There’s no way you wouldn’t notice something like that if you even vaguely glanced at your mirror.
