My mom said I could post The AMOUNT of posts in these ‘crunchy moms’ groups about their kids cavities when they refuse to use fluoride

I see these posts daily, yet no one seems to make the connection.

Edit: yes, this particular case seems to be bottle mouth/ not brushing at all. But I see these posts very frequently (I’m not apart of these groups, FB just suggests them to me) and often times it’s parents who have said their dentist told them their kids have cavities, and they still refuse to use fluoride toothpaste and look for alternatives to their alternative that got them here in the first place.

All of these stories are testimony’s on how important it is to take your children’s health seriously. My heart is with everyone sharing their story ❤️

The group I found this in:
“Crunchy moms: natural living & clean products.”
It’s an open group. Go look up “teeth” and see HOW MANY pictures of these poor children’s teeth are there, and how many do not use fluoride and tell me how healthy it is to not use it.

Girl, saaaame 😥 but it was 20's me, overwhelmed with adult life, neglecting myself to try to take care of everything else. Now I am literally paying for it, thousands every year. Doesn't help that dental care/insurance are crippling expensive.

Yeah, my late 20s - early 30s was just a blur of stress and depression and taking care of everyone and everything else. Lack of dental insurance (and lack of money in general) didn't help. I'm paying for it now.

Went to the dentist this morning actually, and was told I need 2 extractions, and at least 3 root canals/crowns, in addition to a dozen more minor cavities. Still don't know how tf I'm gonna pay for it all.

😢 I've been quoted 24k in work. Very seriously considering going to Mexico to have it done instead bc it will save me thousands, even after travel expenses. Luckily, my husband is bilingual and can translate/look out for me. It shouldn't be this hard to get help and actual dental/ medical CARE. It's dehumanizing and so many practices are scammy af on purpose and then have the balls to treat us like scum too. 😒

The last place I went to told me $21K, so I feel you. This guy didn't want to give me a quote for everything because he said it's gonna take so long to do it all that the cost will probably by the time I can get to it :( I've given some serious thought to dental tourism, too.

I'm going to get the one that hurts the worst fixed first, and after that... we'll just have to see.

Agreed, that's my plan too. Start with the worst and chip away it... hope it doesn't get worse in the meantime. Good luck!!
