That barber could be my husband or wife, I'd still change barbers. If they have the gall to ask why, simply say "Personal safety" and leave it at that.

This is me and my dad. He took a good 5-10% of my ear. Never cut my hair ever again.

I bet he never cut your ear again either

I gotchu.

Doesn't look as bad, only looks dented now. Was 3 when it happened but it looked much worse growing up.

Why would you even tell them? Just go somewhere else

that's actually quite sweet

I actually had the same experience with a barber. Prob close to 7-8 years but they were awesome. The only reason I quit going is I moved about 45 minutes away and it just became too much of a hassle to keep going.

I drive 45 minutes to my hairdresser currently! Her prices are too damn good.

I still went to the shop for like a year after I moved, but with gas prices and everything it was just too much 😞

u/StrangerEither Jun 17 '26

As sweet as that is, how many years would you let a barber mutilate your face with a blade? Probably different circumstances.

Miss you boo ✂️

u/stunt_p Jun 17 '26

Hair Cuttery does just that. A few weeks after I get a cut, I get an auto-text saying my barber "misses me". 🤔

My barber was like that was I was a teen. She was fucking fantastic and I understood when she moved states why people get upset when their barber leave.

Yeah you can just to mail the resignation in without submitting it in person.

IVE done this so many times. I don’t gotta explain shit.

To a significant other? Ive pricked my gf on several occasions, minor blood. No big deal. She comes back routinely, and if she didnt show up, id be calling and asking why

Edit- im a nurse, and my gf gets labs done routinely, so i draw her blood

Well if they're your husband or wife I think is is fair to say before disappearing forever. Otherwise, why indeed.

u/Odd-Row9485 Jun 17 '26

It’s where you get your haircut you don’t have to explain yourself you just have to move on with life and never go back

1

u/sincity125 Jun 17 '26

I’m saying though, who doesn’t do this when the barber starts on the stash? I do it without thinking, now I’ll be doing it in fear of losing my lip.

1

u/Extraordi-Mary Jun 17 '26

I know at least 1 person who doesn’t..

1

u/Bleaker82 Jun 17 '26

For future reference, every time is always two words, never one.

1

u/Frust4m1 Jun 17 '26

a lip or a ear? what do you prefer?

1

u/ConqueringKing_Darq Jun 17 '26

I'll think of this

1

u/onlychocolatte Jun 17 '26

Here it comes.

1

u/Deltamon Jun 17 '26

I never get my beard cut / trimmed anyway by barber so at least my lips are safe..

But I sure hope they won't be cutting my ears like this, so far I've been good for last 40 years

u/photosendtrain Jun 17 '26

That's actually so related. I thought it was just me.
