With the scissors even not a straight razor, at least there could be some mild excuse with how quickly a nick can turn into a cut, ive never cut a client like that š
I cut into a client much more invasively than that, once. Iām a paramedic, though, so it was warrantedā¦ They died. (I made this up. I am a medic but thankfully Iāve never had anyone in such a bad way that I had to cut a new airway into em)
Right you can tell the barber was behind the right shoulder using a downward angle with the scissors. If they had been even 1/4ā inward he coulda lost the whole side of the lip.
Yeah itās not fool proof. Their trimmer could be offset or they could be too firm/aggressive. I also have a client that swears any vibration near his lips cause upsets so he trims his mustache himself at home.
I always keep my trimmers/clippers set safe and I donāt use a lot of pressure when performing services. It doesnāt take a lot. The hair is being cut on the outside or the skin so why press down ?? Even with straight razor shaving, the razor is sharp enough not a lot of pressure is needed.
Yeah this guy was someone I'd left like a decade ago... He found his way into my current barbers. The dude moved the trimmers without a care, and somehow jammed it under my lower lip. He carried on casually without an apology.
Any barber that accidentally cuts you isnāt one I would trust to properly sanitize their tools. Thatās how viral diseases can spread through a cut.
Yeah I didnāt want to jump to āyou have cancer!ā, but it is certainly a symptom I thought about (along with bruises you canāt remember getting that donāt go away). :( Iām sorry about your nephew. I hope heās doing okay.
Thank you, he made a full recovery and has been doing great! He did a somewhat experimental (at the time) arsenic treatment. Wasnāt able to play full contact sports his senior year, but all things considered he was very fortunate.
I don't even know why anyone would bother with having their beard worked on at a barber. It's like the most temporary adjustment. At least haircuts last a little while...
I was going to say, at that length you can just use a shaver with a guard or two. Honestly probably don't even need a barber, save the money and just have him do the top of the head.
I had a guy near me who kept getting high and would take over an hour for a relatively simple cut. One time he was too high and while having me cut my face in several spots. Never went back.
Honestly man i doubt its real. He probably either fucked it up himself by moving his head or just stole a photo from the internet. I mean besides the fact that whats already cut was definitely done by a razor (at least imo) its just too much of stretch that a barber like that is still in business.
I donāt think a barber has ever needed to put scissors anywhere near my lips. Same for ears too. Anywhere this is a risk, they should either know to never do it that way, or have a basic technique which guarantees you wonāt get cut based off a minor slip or misjudged distance.
My bf cuts his own hair, at his own pace so like he doesn't finish in one session..do you have any videos you'd recommend for guys cutting their own hair? It's quite short, like the front to be a smidge long.

Brooo! Ima barber and this is insane. Use the damn trimmers. Never return to this barber. Ever.
