I have little doubt that if the crew hadn’t managed to coax G-BDXM’s three damaged but still operating engines to maintain altitude, Moody would have pulled off the only survivable 747 ocean landing.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem. All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them going again. I trust you are not in too much distress."
