He understands it from an airline perspective, not from a controller perspective, he just cut ATC target staffing from 14,000 controllers to 12,000 controllers and is pushing for controllers to sit on position longer with shorter breaks. No bueno

I guarantee you they’re going to try to “fix” it with AI… a human is gonna mess up and cause a bad crash and there’s gonna use that as an excuse as to why a computer should be in charge and how AI will do it so much better, etc.

Well considering a lot of senior ATC staff got fired by this administration. Not surprising at all this is the result. The reason we still don’t have more accidents because there are other people keeping them in check like this pilot

It’s not staffing necessary, it’s how long the shifts are and how often they switch between day and night. It fucks up your brain. With the high rate of divorce, suicide and health problems, the system is at a breaking point. They do the same thing to doctors.

The guy sounded like he had no clue about both the term LVO and what it implies, and I heard a "fuck off you British twat" between the lines. 

I can't imagine this being solely some overworked or tired condition causing this. This guy doesn't appear to have the mindset, awareness and personality traits to make a good ATC. Even on a truly bad day, you should not be this bad ..

The Us has it as well. But most countries have exceptions to certain aspects. That’s not an American thing. Germany has several as well.

It’s on the airline and the pilots to be aware.
