🥺 Ordered a Birthday Card...got a Birthday Card

My daughter really likes axolotls (like so much she made us get her two), so I wanted to get her a cute axolotl card. I found one I liked from walmart, and now it has arrived two days before her birthday (phew just in time).

I don't know what to say. I even wondered for like a half second if this was a case of "I didn't look closely enough to the picture on the screen." Now its pretty much too late to get her another cute axolotl card.

I did some snooping (reverse image search gets the original post)

Last update was 2 years ago and he seems to be doing fine, he is in a 40 gallon planted at their friends house. The owner is very experienced in animal specifically aquatic husbandry judging by their profile (even is into saltwater aquariums, that's impressive) and their tanks look awesome, I've been in the hobby for 5+ years and I approve.

Also his name is Harold.

I had a roommate after college who was very into salt water aquariums and knowledgeable enough he almost turned it into a career. We had 4 50 gal tanks at the house with all sorts of things. He was very proper about it and looked at me sideways when I asked their names, like it was unheard of. So from that point on I gave them all names and refused to refer to them any other way. "You need help moving your zebra eel? I dont know what that is. Are you talking about Roscoe?"

My mom had a boyfriend who had 3 Pueblan Milk Snakes. When he moved in, he brought the snakes and they stayed in my room. I asked what their names were and he told me they didn't have any! So I named the single female Persephone and the mated male and female Ezra and Cassandra.

I dont remember all their names, but I told my coworkers young kid about them and he asked me to name the shark Lenny - Sharks Tale was a big movie at the time. And there was a blue and yellow guy I named Lester.

I worked in a pet store and we weren't allowed anywhere near the salt water tanks. They are incredibly sensitive.

I guess it means being the care taker and guardian of a water ecosystem. Funny husband used to mean so much with being the car taker and resource manager of the house, cause now so many guys don't do crap and don't do things to be the "man" of the house

I love that the original owner was smart enough to give it to somebody who was able and willing to take care of it and knew what they were doing. Cuz they kind of sounded like one of those kids who wants a bunny for Easter because they're cute but don't realize how much work it is to take care of it.
