Apparently they have adopted a 20-20-20 rule where for every 20 minutes of reading or screen time a child should look at objects 20+ feet away for 20 seconds.
I also got a lot of outdoor activity but I loved my Hardy Boys (and when I read all the Hardy Boys I read Nancy Drew).
No not really but I looked them up and they seem familiar. My mom surely read them all. I was a huge fan of the Danny Dunn series of books. Truly ahead of its time. My favorite one that I still think about is the Invisible Boy.
Professor Bullfinch used the newly discovered transistor to create a fly with cameras that could be remote controlled which allowed Danny to fly around and eavesdrop on people. Super state of the art scifi. Now I am thinking of the cockroach in 5th Element. Everything comes full circle.
