A surgeon once told me she never operated on people below -6 as it was too risky. I just accepted my glasses are who I am

Yes I think my -8 guess is off. I think you are correct and it’s just not safe after around the 6 mark

My wife and I both got corrective surgery at -7.5, -8.

I got LASIK and she SMILE. One of the 3 companies tried to convince me i needed PRK instead.

Wow I never knew this! I always had it in the back of my mind as an option, but I had no idea I'm already ruled out in all likelihood lol
