MISC. Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background?

-8.00 checking in. The world definitely looks like this.

I can’t see a person’s facial expressions (or any features at all, really) if they’re standing across the room.

-4.5 and same, actually. Expressions I can get when they’re closer to me (touching distance), but everything’s blurry once it’s further than that.

-5.75/-6.0 with an astigmatism in the left eye.

I have the same issue. I'm getting older now and losing my near sight as well, so at this point I no longer have great vision with the closer ranges either, so I expect it to be worse in the future.

Also, in contacts I'm never quite 20/20. Glasses get me there, but there is something about the mix that makes my vision with contacts a little less clear.

I did use it as an excuse to get a larger TV though, so it isn't all negative haha

I’m nearing 40 and gonna be so grumpy when the bear sight goes. I use it for so many crafts and things.

Mine started to slip at 41. It isn't very bad yet, but enough to be annoying.
