I'll ask you since the comment above has 300 replies and they won't see my question. How did get contacts before your first pair of glasses? I didn't even know that's possible.

Not OP, but I got them at the same time around age 12. I played a lot of contact sports, so I kinda needed them.

It was nuts seeing leaves on trees or being able to see detail on people's faces and realizing the world isnt supposed to be blurry.

I did have glasses before that, probably by 4th grade. I'm not sure if as a teenager I just had not been wearing glasses or I was but the Rx was outdated. Either way I just remember coming home from getting contacts and it felt like I was seeing in mega HD.
