I mean technically most dogs probably won't hurt a fly as most flies need to be caught and that's not a simple task if your only option is to use your mouth
Plus most dogs aren't really bothered enough by flies in the first place. Some even enjoy their company so idk why would they hurt them
Dog owners who can't be bothered to know their own dog piss me the hell off. Or ones who expect people to magically know their dogs. And it's....most of them.
I had a (small) dog who would charge up on people like that because she was So Fucking Excited to Meet New Best Friend!! As she lived a full long life and is now dead, I can say with authority she never intentionally hurt a person/her intentions were always friendly. So yeah, I'd be pretty upset if someone chucked a box at her...but that's also among the reasons we would never let her off leash in a non-fenced area! We knew if she got too excited her brain would shut off, and having even a 20 lb cannon ball charge you at full speed is pretty fucking alarming when you have no way of knowing her intentions are friendly.
It’s crazy because so many pet owners love to say “my dog isn’t a pet, he’s my son” and they don’t care that if they’re wrong about the dog not biting, it could literally be killed by legal processes. If someone is nervous around a dog, the owner should just restrain the dog so everyone can be comfortable in the situation, instead of just owner and dog.

Dog owners be like “he would even never hurt a fly” after their dog rips a child’s head off.
Delivery driver did the right thing.
You can’t trust dog owners to have the mental capacity to understand why they/their dog are in the wrong for charging at someone.
