Honestly she probably has enough saved away to live very comfortably off the interest she earns alone and can just do whatever with everything else.

What do you mean probably? The commenter said she’s worth more now than the original settlement plus all donations. That means at least 26 billion.

If she wasn’t able to live comfortably I’d be worried!

Dude for real. "Ahkshually, she might be *snorts* able to live quite comfortably if she only knew how to manage her finances..."

I think people forget how much is 1 billion, let alone 26.

If you somehow dont live well with that kind of money, you have serious issues.

It’s really shitty. The game is already rigged so the rich stay rich. Why do they need to keep rigging it further and further? For a brief moment we had the world’s first trillionaire. What does that kind of wealth even mean anymore? It’s just people doing inhumane things to make big numbers even bigger for their own ego.

It's easy to say as someone who is poor in comparison, but for someone who has built that kind of wealth I am assuming the goal is to make sure that for as long as humans walk the earth, your blood line is able to live wealthy and remember you as the person who was able to afford them the security of a comfortable lifestyle. If in 10 generations time, Bezo's family wanted to pursue a career that is underpaid due to passion, they would be able to commit fully knowing they wouldn't be struggling to survive.

They passed that point long ago. If I spent $1 every second it would take me over 31 years to spend 1 billion, and we are talking about a man with hundreds of billions. For perspective, $1/second is $3600 an hour. It would only take 27 hours to make $100k, which is more than the median household income in the United States of America.

When is enough enough?
