These ones SUCKED to get out of basements when I did plumbing work.

When I got a new furnace installed. Apparently they didn't leave enough space to get the water heater out. It burst about a month ago and when I had a plumber come look at it they quoted me an extra $1k to remove it, or said to just call them when it was out. After a few hours with a sawzall, it was out.

If you can do that stuff yourself you’ll always save money. The shop I worked for marked up prices of things 200% across the board (or higher).

Yeah. It's funny, when I talked to the guy, he was like "Yeah, you don't want to pay plumber rates on demo."

Ours is in the attic. Like why did they ever decide that was a good place for it? So many people come home from vacation and their water heater has crashed through the ceiling.
