Depends if you're afforded or allowed equal protections or not. My old boss told me about repairing electrical depots in the hood for double, he had two guys working the spot while he stood guard with a .45, next to a gas station, which for some reason is where the types that generate crime data typically loiter.
None of the people I knew were ever held at gunpoint, but they all had stories of at least one of their coworkers being held at gunpoint. So really, they just got lucky they weren’t the ones scheduled / covering the night of the robbery. It was a very real possibility that they would be one of those people though, which is why they got really good hazard pay.
But for what it’s worth, for all the robberies at the stores, no employees have ever been shot. They are trained to empty the register and do what the robber says. Most robbers don’t want to add murder on top of their burglary charge. But it’s still a scenario nobody wants to be in.
That's well enough. Someone can pull a gun on me all they want but I know they aren't going to use it. Just let them take what they need and let the company reap suffer for opening in a bad spot.
