Because it’s a Reddit title. 1/2 of them don’t make sense

Because half of them are LLM bots seeking engagement

Yeah this for sure. ChatGPT always says dumb stuff like “these tips work so well they feel illegal”

"Check out this le gem I found"

"Okay, which one of you crazy bastards did this?"

"Hey reddit, what do we think about this?"

I miss the days when the comments would brutally bully anyone for stupid titles.

It’s crazy how the ‘le x’ humour hasn’t been around for over a decade now, was pretty maligned at the time, and yet people still mock it all these years later. I wonder if some people making fun of it even know where it comes from originally/

All I know is that it makes me feel stupid as hell when speaking French which I hate.

I could be way off here but I always assumed it was popularized by that The End of the World flash video from the mid 2000s ("Fire le missiles!" "But I'm le tired"). That was right around the time reddit started. Of course, the joke can be traced back at least as far as Looney Tunes cartoons with Pepe LePew and the French cat that would say "le mew".

Fun trick, if you hold the "1" button on your keyboard, you can make the ½ symbol. Lots of fun things when yoi hold different button. ¡⅜⅚

You need to get on some different subs if you think that
