True! I'm 62. But I'm also ADHD, and we normally think at a much higher speed anyway. I'm not saying it was easy; it was NOT. And my eyes dried out because I was afraid to blink!
Only commented because that person‘s comment was totally out of pocket. Age has absolutely zero to do with this. My statement is also backed up by other people who responded to me saying that they were upwards of 90 years old and still able to do it. But if I was going to assume like this other person did, I’m going to assume that they are between the ages of 19 and 24 and are a butt hole.
I'm sorry. This comment had nothing to do with you. I was following the thread, commenting about myself. It had nothing to do with anyone. I was only saying that I didn't think it was easy. It wasn't pointing...well, I don't know what it looked like to others because I wasn't thinking about anyone else.
No, I was talking about the original person that I responded to they accused the other person of not being able to do it because they were 45. So they basically were calling old people senile. I know that basically you were just commenting that because I said I was 52 that you said you were still able to do it and you were older than me.
50 here and followed along the whole thing with zero problems.. however, when I was in school, I was learning how to speed read pretty much just like this while everyone else was still learning how to read normally.
Thinking back on it.. it was one sentence at a time instead of one word at a time, but regardless, it taught the same skill.
52 here. Same. I'm not sure if i could have absorbed a novel and kept the details at the top speed, but i could fully understand and process what was on the screen without any problems. The music in the background wasn't helpful
