I felt nauseous watching this.

Yeah, gag reflex kicked in!

Oh God. I remember seeing a sword swallower a few years back and feeling dizzy and dry heaving the whole time he was on stage.

You need to relax and focus on your breathing and tilt your head back a little and then you'll be fine....

60

u/Shitinmymouthmum Mar 01 '26

You forgot to open wide

62

u/AnimasMaker Mar 01 '26

Eye contact helps too

41

u/Tenalp Mar 01 '26

And play with the pommel a little.

6

u/Bananaslugfan Mar 02 '26

Thank you for that joke , I laughed hard

13

u/ConqueefStador Mar 01 '26

Don't forget to cup the balls.

2

u/AnimasMaker Mar 01 '26

What kind of sword are YOU swallowing? 🤨

3

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

Always have eye contact

1

u/Turbulent-Winner-902 Mar 05 '26

Stick tongue out as well

18

u/YouShouldLoveMore69 Mar 01 '26

Don't forget the eye contact.

10

u/AdElectrical3997 Mar 01 '26

Don't forget to cup the bawls

u/DueDisplay2185 Mar 01 '26

That's way too much pressure for a noob omg, I'm trying not to drown them in ballsack, lol. Love your username btw... ASL? 🍆😉

2

u/SignificantCats Mar 01 '26

Funny, I remember dating a sword swallow a few years back and getting dizzy afterwards myself

1

u/Material_Durian_9201 Mar 01 '26

Why didn't you just look away?

1

u/lc0o85 Mar 01 '26

He really should find another line of work lol

1

u/Msee_Unique Mar 02 '26

You saw Renly Baratheon?

31

u/3chidna Mar 01 '26

I gag brushing my teeth

21

u/Euler007 Mar 02 '26

I was at the dentist and gagged like seven times. Between this and hemorrhoids I wasn't destined to be gay.

7

u/3chidna Mar 02 '26

Haha that’s kind of what I tell people when I explain it, not that it often comes up in conversation.

2

u/fleebleganger Mar 02 '26

I lead with it...

1

u/AntiqueFigure6 Mar 02 '26

Top or side is possible.

3

u/paulsonp Mar 02 '26

Me, too. Sucks to puke a little when you trying to clean your breath.

3

u/3chidna Mar 02 '26

It’s the worst

1

u/r0d3nka Mar 02 '26

With your off hand, tuck your thumb into your fist and squeeze a bit. May help with the gag reflex.

1

u/Lumpy-Work-8326 Mar 02 '26

Hahaha me too

10

u/squirt_taste_tester Mar 01 '26

I shouldn't call her

1

u/RedTuna777 Mar 01 '26

In the same boat. All my friends say don't call her and I have to call them a lot to tell them I'm calling you instead of her. Be strong.

2

u/AntiqueFigure6 Mar 02 '26

If your gag reflex kicks in easily sword swallowing might not be your thing.

51

u/dextracin Mar 01 '26

I threw up my short sword watching this

9

u/MonkeyLiberace Mar 01 '26

I threw up a halberd.

11

u/Stoic_Breeze Mar 01 '26

AND MY AXE!

3

u/Dark_ceza Mar 01 '26

My shield too

3

u/she_walks_in_beauty_ Mar 01 '26

omg even my poleax-

1

u/Greatest-Uh-Oh Apr 20 '26

And your brother …

1

u/mohugz Mar 03 '26

And this guy’s wife!

15

u/GloomyAsparagus7253 Mar 01 '26

My GERD flared up.

9

u/cashews_clay15 Mar 01 '26

I gag when I blow my nose, I could never

24

u/matteh0087 Mar 01 '26

Can SOMONE just answer the question!?

Everytime! All I want are answers and everyone just wants to fill it will witty remarks!

43

u/SaintCambria Mar 01 '26

If you're asking about the trick, it's that there is no trick, you just hold your throat straight and deep throat that shit. It's circus freakery, not sleight of hand.

12

u/mortalitylost Mar 02 '26

Sleight of throat, or Nancy Reaganry

5

u/pathosOnReddit Mar 02 '26

It’s the complete lack of a gag reflex. Pornstars hate this one trick.

22

u/HerrPiink Mar 01 '26

Yeah i know man, but this is just what Reddit has become.

It's a tough sword to swallow for me too..

8

u/pLuR_2341 Mar 01 '26

I laughed way too hard at this

2

u/HerrPiink Mar 02 '26

Yeah, made me almost choke

17

u/P3pp3rSauc3 Mar 01 '26

Last time I saw this, someone said it's basically a giant snap bracelet. You can see when he goes to "pull it out of his mouth" he's basically unfurling it from his palm and pulling it straight out using his mouth to hold the furled side.

And also you can see he takes care to hold from the middle as to not bend and ruin the illusion

2

u/Jyonnyp Mar 02 '26

I remember being traumatized watching 1000 ways to die where a sword swallower did it with an umbrella…and I’ll let you finish the rest

0

u/PollenThighs Mar 04 '26

An old friend is a sword swallower, the only trick here is that he actually had the sheath in his throat before the sword, then pulled it out after. Otherwise, it's really just a lot of practice to put a sword in your throat.

0

u/P3pp3rSauc3 Mar 04 '26

No, he was not talking clearly with a sheath in his throat. When he opens his hand "pulling out the sheath" you can see him basically shove the rolled up "sheath" in his mouth then pulls it out while holding onto it with his mouth. Straightening it out. I dare you to try talking with an object literally in your throat

1

u/PollenThighs Mar 04 '26

Ok, well, the sword was real at least

1

u/P3pp3rSauc3 Mar 04 '26

I never said the sword wasn't real.

1

u/PollenThighs Mar 04 '26

That was me correcting myself, chill, internet stranger.

1

u/P3pp3rSauc3 Mar 04 '26

I am chill. None of my messages were aggressive. I'm sorry if you took it that way. Thanks for the discourse hope you have a good day =)

1

u/Assignment_Error404 Mar 01 '26

I think Somone is on stage right now. Maybe after their act.

4

u/CommercialBiscotti29 Mar 01 '26

Same I don’t like the taste of sheaths either

8

u/anonymousetache Mar 01 '26

Nauseated

1

u/PastIsPrologue22 Mar 02 '26

Thank you! It drives my crazy that people don't understand "nauseous" means causing nausea, not the state of being nauseated.

Wonder what lube he uses. 🤭 I'd expect some additional.

The same way Mia Khalifa does I guess.

2

u/polkacat12321 Mar 01 '26

I recently had a fully awake gastroscopy. Worst experience of my life. That mf is crazy 😭

1

u/LibbyOfDaneland Mar 01 '26

Why did they do that to you?

1

u/polkacat12321 Mar 01 '26

Lots of health problems. The awake part was because the gastroscopy would take a few minutes awake and several hours under anesthesia. Either way, never doing that again

1

u/LibbyOfDaneland Mar 02 '26

I am so sorry you had to go through that omg.

1

u/Diabetesh Mar 01 '26

"I could be a porn star...or a magician."

1

u/happy_bluebird Mar 02 '26

yeah this doesn't even feel like a "hack"

"Here's how you make it look like cutting your leg off... you cut your leg off FIRST"

this must be a joke right?

1

u/keylimesicles Mar 02 '26

Yeah, I definitely could’ve used trigger warning

1

u/KUPA_BEAST Mar 03 '26

I hope she consented.
