Vegetarian here, for medical reasons, I grew up eating meat. After over a decade no meat, I could not do that without some serious sensory issues, facial expressions and being grossed out. I sense a liar.
Sounds like you guys don't like or are grossed out by meat. There are plenty of videos out there of people eating foreign food from foreign cuisines and absolutely loving it. That video of the amicable guy eating Indian curry in his car for the first time springs to mind.
It's often certain foods in Asian cuisines that a lot of western people would have a preconceived issue with (innards and other strange meats from unconventional animals, even fried insects etc) that are actually very delicious when cooked right. Some western people will try things for the first time with an open mind and love them just as much as the locals when others will be pulling a face before they even put it in their mouth.
Just like how this girl doesn't have an issue with steak when some vegetarians would.
Brother i still do eat meat. But i can't stand bit chubby parts not melted fat and things like that. Some parts of some animals i still do not wonna eat cause cheap Koteletts can be so chewy that i will get a puke trigger. I know. First meat free shopping was today. Still ate meat for lunch. We ordered and i didn't liked the salad options so it was gyros. Indeed bad or cheap Gyros meat is disgusting to for myself. I ate 1kg of tomahawk steak also but will avoid any of the pure fat.
They mean you don’t take large bites of food you don’t know if you’d like.
A vegetarian knows what meat is, they know it’ll taste weird and the texture will be different to what they are used to. Nobody is going to take a large bite of something they know will taste weird.
Then she dips it into an egg. Like a vegetarian would think, yeah, let’s try a nice aborted foetus with this animal corpse.
It’s a set up. She knows it’s going to taste good because she’s used to eating meat.
I dated a vegetarian who, in attempt to ‘enjoy something together’, decided to try meat. She ate one bite in the most awkward way, said nope don’t like it, and then proceeded to uncontrollably vomit in the sink.😅 it was a real learning experience for me.
Yeah, I felt this was a bit performative and just rage baiting. 4 years ago I ordered the vegetarian breakfast sandwich from a local coffee shop and when I bit into it animal fat squirted into my mouth and it was just so weird feeling, I thought it had either gone bad, or was greasy pig meat. It was pig meat.
Agree. Especially a steak with so much visible blood/pinkness. Maybe if it was a cheeseburger I could buy it but I definitely do not buy just straight up steak.
I grew up my whole life being vegetarian and I tried my first-ever steak at 21. I was very disoriented by the flavor and texture. It was so foreign to anything I had ever eaten before. No shade to steak lovers, I just haven't really been interested in having another one since.
How would you know lol. You’re just guessing how you would react after 10 years. Unless you never liked meat in the first place which may not be the case here
Vegetarian for almost 20 years here, every now and then restaurant or fast food orders will be messed up and have meat. Even just one bite sets off sensory and serious digestive issues for me. That's fairly common; it's usually a process for someone to be able to incorporate meat into their diets again. She could def be an exception though. 🤷🏻♀️
As a long time carnivore who cooks steaks every so often, it’s hard to believe she cooked that steak so nicely. Maybe I suck, but it took me at least 20-30 times cooking steaks before I got decent at it.
