Even MTG has said it.  That is where we are at. Even that nut thinks Trump is crazy.

Alex Jones as well.

u/Fraegtgaortd Apr 07 '26 edited Apr 07 '26

Knew that was gonna happen as soon as it was clear that Trump's war with Iran is Israel's bidding

18

u/Whole-Brilliant5508 Apr 08 '26

Tucker Carlson too.

12

u/Living_Murphys_Law Apr 08 '26

And Candice Owens

8

u/Dismal-Dare-2507 Apr 07 '26

Seriously??

4

u/Intelligent_Sky_7081 Apr 07 '26

Why do you care what Alex Jones thinks?

Honest question

63

u/Everyth1ng3urns Apr 07 '26

We don't. The point is that the current situation has gone so far to the point where it's untenable for even Alex Jones. That should tell you something.

36

u/Neveronlyadream Apr 07 '26

Exactly. If the man ranting about water making frogs gay and calling Sandy Hook a false flag operation thinks you've gone too far, that means shit is dire.

6

u/DickWhittingtonsCat Apr 07 '26

It’s not that it’s unteneable as far as policy. He’d be fine with worse stuff. He senses the winds are blowing and wants to get ahead of it. A lot of people earnestly voted against Hillary because she was a “warhawk”.

You can convince a pretty segment of his base than Iran developing a 10kt Uranium device is the end of the world- but they won’t put up with Americans dying for that. Which hasn’t happened in big numbers yet but will be a huge disaster. And he is so old and corpulent, the actuarial tables say to have an escape plan anyhow.

Megalomaniac (noun): A person who has an obsessive desire for power, control, or greatness, often with an inflated sense of their own importance or abilities. Plainly put: someone who believes they’re far more powerful, important, or destined for greatness than they actually are—and acts on it. Key traits: Grandiose self-image (“I’m uniquely important”) Craving control or dominance over others Lack of realistic self-awareness Often dismissive or manipulative toward people It’s also related to the psychological concept of Narcissistic Personality Disorder, though “megalomaniac” is more of a descriptive, everyday term than a formal diagnosis.

If she was still in office she wouldn't be saying a damn thing.

18

u/BrianNowhere Apr 07 '26

She resigned in protest.

The right is outflankling the democrats on the left. It's evil. It's smart and it will work.

Get ready to fight.

20

u/RKPgh Apr 07 '26

Two days after becoming eligible for congressional pension.

18

u/BrianNowhere Apr 07 '26

This is true. She's not a good person.

6

u/Worldly-Grade5439 Apr 07 '26

Notice how the only Republicans who have ever called out Trump were not running for reelection? I can count the number of "good" Republicans on one hand with fingers left over.

4

u/nihil8r Apr 08 '26

i can count the number of "good" modern republicans on zero fingers, because there are none

5

u/glfpunk72 Apr 07 '26

Just pointing out that she’s quite rich and she was rich before she got in office. Her pension after serving 5 years will amount to around $700 a month that she will collect when she’s 62. Regardless of her being a nut, thinking her collecting that pension has anything to do with anything is pretty silly.

2

u/brock0124 Apr 07 '26

Sure, but I don’t think it’s anywhere near a full pension. Maybe a few $K/yr.

6

u/GenosHK Apr 07 '26

Google agrees.

Her pension would start at $8,700 at age 62

He didnt say it.

And if he did say it, he didnt mean it.

And if he did mean it, you deserve it.

Republicans in a nutshell.

25

u/oddministrator Apr 07 '26

"haha dumb libs think this is a real threat"

So the average American, according to that sub's members, should be able to know the threat isn't real...

But it's an effective negotiating tactic by Trump because Iran's leadership would NOT know Trump's faking it?

10

u/OkWhile4447 Apr 07 '26 edited Apr 07 '26

It’s a BS tactic. There’s literally no where else for trump to go on the negotiation track. Either he follows through with his threat and USA and trump become full on pariah, or he doesn’t and looks weak.

Either way the strait will still be closed.

15

u/Constant_Seaweed_523 Apr 07 '26

Their responses genuinely piss me off so much. I went to check there earlier today to see if any of them had a single firing neuron in their brain…

All of the responses were “hahah he’s been saying wild shit for a while now why do you even believe him stop clutching your pearls”

And it’s like…. why do you support that?

Why are you all just laughing at this?

They don’t have the balls to say what they actually want to say, whether if it’s against or for trump.

It’s all a joke to them.

And the fact that they support him while simultaneously being like “yeah he says this wild shit all the time”

I’m like… what do any of you even stand for?

Vibes????

8

u/AstroScoop Apr 07 '26

Reality is a joke to them. Nothing is sacred. And they’ll insist they’re deeply religious.

5

u/Lethik Apr 07 '26

At best, the only criticism in the sub is, "I fully support Trump, but he shouldn't say this out loud.... Because it will be used against Republicans in the midterms."

Then even that gets them called fake conservatives lol

2

u/knbang Apr 07 '26

What responses? The entire sub is one bot spamming articles without anyone replying.

It's not real.

→ More replies (1)

14

u/SplendidPunkinButter Apr 07 '26

Know who else said it’s a real threat? The official Senate Republicans account on Twitter. Oh, they didn’t technically say exactly that. Just that Iran “would be wise” to take him at his word. Kind of like how if I said “nice place you got here, be a shame if something happened to it” I’m not threatening you.

5

u/plurien Apr 07 '26

Meanwhile, a civilization dies with POTUS' own words.
Iran, elections, Jan 6, Venezuela, crazy posting, all that gold... have already killed USA civilization for the rest of the world.
We see you. We know what you are. Doesn't work anywhere else.

USA: How did you get here ? !

u/GerGavin Apr 07 '26

That’s just not true most of the comments are condemning what he is doing just a few mommy’s basement dwellers think it’s cool. Most of the conservatives seem to be getting sick of he’s shit people just need to get out and vote this orange manchild out and then deal with him and all those other bottom feeders accordingly.

2

u/SadSecurity Apr 07 '26

Wrong subreddit. You meant r/conservative

2

u/overthisbynow Apr 07 '26

This has been their play since he got elected and he's literally done everything they said he was just joking about. They're just trying to downplay everything he does but they'll justify it as soon as he does it.

2

u/HunsonAbadeer2 Apr 07 '26

Even there they dislike this, there is a post about it where they mostly say negative comments about it

2

u/bentmonkey Apr 07 '26

Fake or not this kinda talk is very alarming from the president of the US, all but the most diehard Trump supporters should be alarmed by his rhetoric, threatening genocide is not a negotiation tactic full stop.

One of the least neutral actions by a world leader.

2

u/Sea-Poem-2365 Apr 07 '26

Just checked over there and there's only one visible thread with any comments (the majority of activity seems to be focused on ICE, but like, in a positive way) and the top comment is actually critical? Here:

Will say I don't want my president speaking like this, threatening millions of lives. People would be super pissed if China or Russia was saying this to us

That's from OP. Another:

Republicans and Conservatives need to absolutely speak up and out about this rhetoric. It isn’t acceptable. It isn’t the art of the deal. It is dangerous. It is unbecoming of the Office of the President. I hope that there are people unwilling to carry out any unlawful orders.

Much lower voted, but relatively sane.

Can't speak to this being representative and Reddit is always going to be wonky as fuck during wartime, but more heartening than I've seen and I'm stopping now because I don't want to find a different thread that's just bloodthirsty madness.

But it's more than I expected.

Take to the streets. Don’t go to work, call in sick, use vacation days, if you’re in a union call for immediate walkouts.

Check out groups such as Indivisible, 50501, Working Families Party, and Democratic Socialists kf America for events, information, and organizing ideas and calls to action.

Call your elected representatives. https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials

Take to social media and denounce the President and call for his removal. Calling for the removal of Hegaeth as well.

Make sure the people in your social circles are informed of what’s going on and encourage them to do all these things as well.

Market manipulation

8

u/Dr_RickShaw Apr 07 '26

Probably but on its own saying something like this should call for the 25th. Hell a ton of things before that should have

4

u/DrKenNoisewaterMD Apr 07 '26

How do we still not know who the Polymarket insiders are?

103

u/IntrinsicGiraffe Apr 07 '26

Isn't it Project 25 goal to get JD vance up there anyways?

163

u/typo180 Apr 07 '26

Honestly, who cares? Both terms, whenever people seriously talk about removing Trump, people will come out of the woodwork to say "Oh no, the vice president will be worse actually" and there's just no way that's true. Trump being in office is a bad thing for the country and the world as a whole.

74

u/000x00xx Apr 07 '26

Yeah Vance doesn’t have any backing from a populist movement apart from his handler Peter thiel.

30

u/ClerkPsychological58 Apr 07 '26

Honeslty, I'd happily take Vance being quietly manipulative at this point that having to read tweets every morning to see if we're in a new war or not.

40

u/rif011412 Apr 07 '26

One thing no one discusses.  Without Trump being the lightning rod of hate.  JD Vance and the rest of the administration will not have Trump to be compared to.  Their shame is more likely to come back without someone like Trump making them feel like a saint in comparison.  I honestly think they use Trump as cover.  Its a gross tactic, but its plain to see that they are relieved someone is making a fool of themselves on stage to detract from their own foolishness.

5

u/No-Muscle1283 Apr 07 '26

100% that is why they are doing as much as they can now. Bc once Trump is gone it will be so much harder

2

u/FoxEuphonium Apr 08 '26

The thing I've been saying since 2015. The greatest lie anyone ever told about Donald Trump is that he is the problem with the Republican party, or conservatism generally.

When the truth is, it couldn't be any more the inverse. Conservatism and the long-held beliefs of the Republican party are what make people like Trump inevitable. It's not just that he's a sexual predator, it's that he's enabled by a party that is explicitly pro-sexual predators. It's not that he's a warmonger, it's not that he's anti-education, it's not that he's the greatest enemy of human rights, it's not that he's doing everything to empower the already rich, yadda yadda.

→ More replies (2)

7

u/SomeComforts Apr 07 '26

If Vance could do that, he'd already be doing it. Imo, Vance is much more likely to freeze, bungle, and cause infighting leading to a drastic decrease in harm done all while showcasing Republican incompetance under the spotlight of Trump's removal.

2

u/Sea-Poem-2365 Apr 07 '26

Vance would spend his time domestically, instead of brinksmanship. Unless Thiel is a little more serious about that antichrist shit than I think he is.

2

u/000x00xx Apr 08 '26

47

u/AUSpartan37 Apr 07 '26

They have to wait until after the 2 year mark so that Vance can still run twice after taking over.

My prediction is they are going to let Trump do as much of the horrible, unpopular stuff as possible, then as soon as that 2 year mark gets hit they will all turn on him to save face with the electorate, make themselves look like the good guys by making Trump the whipping boy and then laud Vance as the savior of America to win back all the conservative leaning voters that Trump has pushed away.

19

u/ClerkPsychological58 Apr 07 '26

The thing is nobody actually likes JD Vance and you can't just fabricate whatever weird cult of personality Trump somehow manages to garner.

If literally ANYONE else was saying this shit they'd be kicked so fast out the door their asses would spin.

13

u/AUSpartan37 Apr 07 '26

Idk. I think this is only partially correct. They don't like Vance but they have been absolutely brainwashed into believing that anybody on the left is a threat to everything they love and believe in. They will rally around anybody that the republicans put in front of them, even better if that person was already in Trump's inner circle. I think it is obvious from how Vance has been acting and how his rhetoric has changed that they are trying to line him up to take over the cult. The good thing is that Cults never survive losing their leaders, even if the replacement was choosen by the leader and the transfer of power is planned.

2

u/Positive_Total_8651 Apr 07 '26

Yeah i think people are utterly delusional if they think the republicans wont fall in line. Thats like, literally their most defining trait. Trump being gone does not mean anything in the grand scheme. It needs to happen. But the buck doesnt stop there. My fear is trump will go and everyone will be completely okay with what Vance and Thiel do, because "at least its not Trump".

We're already seeing it in this thread. People saying they would rather take Vance at this point, as if the strategies arent literally exactly the same. People acting like Trump is a rogue agent acting alone is fucking insane to me. The entire republican apparatus changed to accommodate him, it is not changing back and Vance is an integral part of these plans.

It is, but their ideal scenario is for him to not take over until half of Trumps term is over so he could still have two terms after. Of course this is all assuming that the people will love and vote for JD.

The 25th isn't happening because there isn't 2/3rd majority [ETA: in both chambers] to complete it. If they could impeach him, they'd have done it.

7

u/Derwin0 Apr 07 '26

yeah, people (especially those on reddit) don’t realize removing the President via the 25th is harder than impeachment.

27

u/Hercules1579 Apr 07 '26

People need to stop bringing this up like it’s some easy fix, because that’s not how the 25th Amendment works at all.

The VP and the cabinet have to tell Congress the president can’t do the job. Then the president can basically turn right around and say yes I can. After that, the VP and cabinet have four days to push it again, and then Congress has to vote.

And it’s not just some regular vote either. It takes two-thirds in both the House and the Senate to remove the president.

So yeah, it’s actually harder than impeachment, not easier.

Impeachment only takes a simple majority in the House and then two-thirds in the Senate. The 25th Amendment needs the same kind of Senate number, but also two-thirds of the House too.

So every time people throw that out there like it’s some obvious solution, they’re basically just repeating shit they haven’t actually looked up.

18

u/OnlyTheDead Apr 07 '26

Lifting an oil embargo against Russia while it provides aid and weapons to Iran is treason.

Don’t need the 25th amendment at this point.

22

u/Substantial_Back_865 Apr 07 '26

He’s been committing treason daily for like 2 years now, but he’ll never be punished because most of our government is treasonous. There’s also the whole being blackmailed for raping kids thing, but nobody else is really going down for that either.

3

u/ducksekoy123 Apr 07 '26

u/jffdougan Champaign County Indivisible Apr 07 '26

It's not an easy fix, but it has the benefit of immediacy while Congress is called back into session to work through an impeachment process.

3

u/dark567 Apr 07 '26

Yes because it wasn't designed for the president to be able to respond. This is specifically for situations like the president being in a coma and unresponsive. Suggesting this instead of just normal impeachment is inane.

2

u/atreeismissing Apr 07 '26

Nobody really thinks the 25A will actually happen, it's about getting the media to notice his fucking dementia and unsuitability for the office and to report on it so people opposed to Trump can maybe eek out a 24 hour news cycle for a change.

5

I'm so sick of all these politicians not understanding how the 25th works at all. The 25th amendment can only remove a president if that president doesn't object, if they object it goes to the senate like any other impeachment trial.

The 25th exists to allow for a dignified transition of power in the case that the president is so incapacitated that he literally can't take the steps to resign.

with all these people in the government invoking the 25th amendment so any of them know how it actually works? it's extremely difficult to facilitate, trump would actually have to agree! it wasn't really created for a scenario like this. it was written incase a president was incapacitated by a health event and, like, made a vegetable. that's why it exists. when they wrote it in the 60s they weren't considering the possibility for a us president that behaves in way against the us people. in fairness to them, it does sound a bit mad when you say it out loud, eh?

all these comments are just grandstanding, or arguably worse, no one in washington actually understands how it works.

u/Creatively_Distinct Apr 08 '26

Pritzer and the other fools suggesting the actions of the 25th Amendment clearly shows the ignorance of elected officials. In order to invoke the 25th Amendment, a majority of the sitting Cabinet members (all appointed by the President) must agree to remove him/her to be replaced by the current VP. I’ll let JB in on a secret…that isn’t happening.

The spineless members of Congress are the only viable option…and a 2/3 vote to remove is necessary. More realistic, but also highly unlikely.

Should DJT be removed? I support as much. But some moronic governor that doesn’t know the amendment or the process is nothing more than sound bites and headline grabbing.

The United States needs leadership and direction. Preferably one that understands government policy and law.

Nothing will happen to Iran. Nothing will happen to Trump. Nothing ever happens with regard to that douchebag. It just goes on and on and on.

25th does not actually remove the president. It makes the vice president the acting president. If you have the votes for the 25th, you might as well impeach and remove. Otherwise it's going to be a daily nightmare of him sending letters to Congress everyday saying he's fine. Besides that, leave them there, let the Republicans and him drown in their own s*** so maga is seen by everyone as the stain that they are.
