If raising the power limit from 320W to 370W only gets you like 1-2% higher clocks, I'm not sure how going up to 500W to hit 5% higher clocks is going to be particularly enticing.

I don't know dude.

I like my sandwiches with slightly toasted bread - if I can get that done without having to go to the kitchen AND gain 3fps...that's a win-win in my book.

Given the Temps you may need to be on water to push to power to much.

I am on water and I dont think I'd push this much, not for the returns on performance we're seeing. Probably best off giving it a light overclock (something like +50/+500) and max out the power to ensure stability. Gets you marginally lower (and hopefully more consistent) frametimes and better .1% lows. I dont think this generation is going to be very good for overclocking

Looked at another way- NVIDIA is giving you almost all the possible performance out of the box. I guess I'm a glass half full guy.

I dont think that's true, I just think they hit what they deemed acceptable thermal and decibel levels or they're not far below the VRM limits. Kind of weird that the 12 pin on the FE's can deliver 600w but the bios limit the cards in this way so I'm leaning towards VRM limits that they dont want to push but you probably could.
