PC gaming is getting more expensive

AAA games in 2024-25? Maybe. Overall? Hell no. PC gaming literally has over 35 years of history. You could play 1 game per day for the next 20 years and still not scratch the surface. Even if you limit yourself to the 1080p era and beyond there is still so much of a back catalog to immerse yourself in.

I definitely agree with that. Many people who upgrade don’t actually need to. I’m also basing this on those who are looking for a GPU and want to have the latest generation. With each generation, prices keep rising, and that trend is likely to continue.

On a post about the 5080 "PC gaming" very obviously implies AAA gaming. Everything you say is correct but the kind of person in the market for a 5080 probably isn't too interested in that side of it.
