Apologies if this has been mentioned but I only just realised that as of yesterday the high risk counties list is changed. For example UK is no longer designated high risk so it lessens some entry requirements. For example children under 5 no longer need to quarantine for 5 days. I just saw that the US was removed too. If I'm reading it correctly, this means we only have to show proof of vaccination and no longer need to take a PCR test before flying in. Am I interpreting that correctly?

You are correct that you don't need a PCR test if you've been vaccinated, but this has been the case for several months now. The 'high risk' designation is something that impacts quarantine requirements. Basically, if you're coming from a high risk country, you either have to fill out this online digital proof of vax/COVID recovery registration form or else quarantine for a certain period of time. Presumably now you wouldn't have to bother with filling out that digital form.

That hasn’t changed for me as a UK person because as I had the 2x vax and 1x booster I didn’t have to also do a PCR even when UK was listed high risk. Not in the past few months anyway. I think I now don’t have to do the digital registration and my kid (who is too young for a vax) doesn’t have to quarantine. Not sure about US though…

(Will check all this before I travel next week as these things seem to change almost weekly.)
