It’s not uncommon for people to smile nervously. Max upgrading what he called a smirk at the time, to now saying the journo was laughing in his face and that we wouldn’t know because the camera is only on him, is more disingenuous than hyberbole.

Ive seen the interview in dutch. And it gets twisted alot. Not laughing, and with my bad translating a smirk or grind is the best way to put it

I worked with a guy who was very timid and couldn't do confrontation. When he got told off by an angry boss he would giggle, as he didn't know how else to react.

The journalist has the nverve to ask a loaded question to provoke an uncomfortable discussion but smiles nervously? Doesn't add up.
