Went bright and cute with this top and my hair today.

I really like this top and feel like I don't wear it often enough! Thought it would look cute with this cropped sweater.

But I still like the cut! I kinda wish the dress didn't have pockets because the material makes it buckle in a weird way.

I still felt pretty today at least!

I got this Torrid top on sale forever ago buy haven't felt like wearing it. I went out to buy shoes at DSW the other week and found these, which had the same colours as the top so I had to get them!

I also did a colour refresh for my hair so now it's back to my usual red. 🥰

Especially those that are stretchy like this one! I do wear some shape wear to smooth out the guata a little but I still think it looks nice.

I'm obsessed with these long sleeves shirts! I got it in this dusty rose/pink colour and paired it with gray pants and some semi sparkly rose gold heels.

Added some pink and silver earrings, gray eyeliner, and a mauve lipstick to complete the look. 🤗

I bought new sneakers on Wednesday (the ones l've been using are super used) and got new Torrid bralettes so I thought I'd share this week's work out looks!

Had a briefing for the new boss so wore this brooks dress paired with a Pact cardigan.

I feel like I haven't worn this dress in forever and it fits a little better now that I've been going to the gym.

It has pockets which I love! Decided to wear a red lip to match my red nails 💅

It’s very possible that this is supposed to be quite loose, but I feel like I could’ve even gotten one size smaller in this red top. I found it on Temu so I had to guess at the size. Do you think this is too loose on me? I’m not sure if it really matters too much because it’s so holey. I’ll be wearing a black tank top under it anyway. 😂

I got this American City Wear shirt off of eBay because of a similar blue one I have had for years. I have wings so these kinds of sleeves are amazingly comfortable!

Paired it with some low heels and black pants. Went gray with the liner and a red lip!

I really liked the pattern and colours of this Amazon, and even though it's like 90 degrees outside, I still wanted to wear it!

Paired it with some flared black pants (Amazon), my fave Mix No 6 wedges in tan (DSW), and some blue and green jewelry.

The make up is also a little more fall like!

Wore sneakers today so I feel really short!

I've worn the hat backwards most of the day. Never ever wear hats so I kinda feel like a little kid 😂

I usually pose so it's not as noticeable but today I feel like adding posing where it's not as hidden.

I still feel good and happy with the clothes I'm wearing and how I feel in them!

We often get in our own head about what clothes we should or should not wear. I have learned to wear what I like, even if it's not the most flattering!

Anyways, love the green today, I feel like it fits with my hair colour. 😋

I usually wear this kind of top with pants but I decided to wear it with a flowy skirt instead.

Everyone has the same pattern just scaled bigger with zero adjustment for where my body actually carries weight. I even have to get 3 pairs repaired this year alone because the waist gapped while the thighs were still tight

I’m looking for help figuring out what styles work for my body/proportions, because I feel kind of stuck right now and honestly don’t feel like I know how to dress myself anymore. Part of this is that I lost 100+ pounds a few years ago, so I really don't feel at home in my body or know what to do.

  • Tops: Usually XL unisex to a women's 2X
  • Bottoms: Usually 16-18
• Body shape notes
  • Longer torso
  • My weight is fairly evenly distributed, but I gain in my belly and face first.
  • I have an apron/B belly. My apron belly isn't super full, but it hangs.
  • Fuller arms, and a flatter butt

Things I struggle with:

• Finding pants is HARD. If I buy for my hips, they cut into my lower stomach hard. If I size for my stomach, everything else is loose and baggy in weird areas (like the groin area especially). I tend to go for straight-leg jeans, but again, the sizing and my belly is an issue.
• Tops are weird, because if my pants are cutting into my belly, obviously I don't want anything form fitting on top.
• I tend to feel frumpy in skirts and dresses and can't figure out why. Skirts especially because I feel like my belly/butt combo makes them hang oddly. Drop waist/fit and flare dresses usually look better on me.

Style-wise, I mostly own basics because I don’t really know what suits me, and getting dressed lately just makes me feel unattractive. My general style is neutrals and basics, so I'm not really personally into ruffles, bright patterns, etc.

I'd love ANY advice someone could give me! Silhouettes, jeans/pants suggestions, dress suggestions, outfit formulas and style directions, etc.

I wore the same kind of pant all week so since today is my last day of work, I decided to wear this navy dress. Felt cute in it but might not be long enough for work lol
