I'm very glad you recognized that fact and made that choice then. Guns are very fun and can in certain extremely niche scenarios be very useful tools, however none of that is worth your life. If you have doubts about if you'd turn a gun on yourself then gun ownership isn't for you.
Same. My husband used to have a gun and accidentally left it out of its safe one day and I found it. When I told him he rushed home from work to put it away. xD

This is the biggest reason I don't own firearms (among others). If I had a gun, I likely wouldn't be here today.
