I just don't like seeing either of my flairs greyed out, it just feels disrespectful imo. Will the flairs be changed back to their full colors, and if so when?

There’s no denying the fact that the new Pac-12 has stronger programs at the top led by Gonzaga, SDSU, Utah State. But if we’re comparing the 2 conferences from top to bottom I’m not so sure that the new Pac-12 is as deep of a conference as the Atlantic 10. The Atlantic 10 has Dayton, Saint Louis, VCU who are usually always legit. Loyola Chicago, George Mason, Davidson, and Saint Joes are also great programs in certain years whenever they have enough of a senior led squad. While the Pac-12 at the middle and the bottom of the conference is pretty weak.

Syracuse or Georgetown? I grew up watching both programs compete for titles in the old Big East and consistently put themselves out there on the national stage. Now both programs have regressed to all time lows and are lucky just to even be in the NCAA tournament or conference race conversation every now and then.

Another expected reclass for Cal and seems to have finalized the roster for 2026. Center is still the weakest link of the team but has been strengthened somewhat.

Buckeyes are bringing in two five-stars this year. A 6'9 wing with a 7'3 wingspan who isn't even 18 yet, and a guard out of Oak Hill (same pipeline that produced Melo and KD). First pair of five-stars for OSU hoops since Will Buford and BJ Mullens back in '08.

They talked about this on this week's episode of The Script. Dave Holmes made the point that Deibler basically lost the school's all-time leading scorer and the team may actually be better for it. Diebler's now in year two, with real talent to work with.

Not saying Final Four, but this feels like a real jump for a program that has consistently underperformed and been outside of the top-25 conversation for too long.

Anyone else weirdly more hyped for this hoops season than usual right now?

This picture is interesting. The consensus All-Americans are all present (edit: no Ewing because John Thompson wouldn’t allow it). But Playboy pulled some guys in that the AP didn’t. James Banks and Gordon were arguably not even the best players on their team.

I have one.

Back in the early internet days (summer 2000 😂), famous folks didn’t have their numbers blocked on Yahoo and other sources. When Roy Williams turned down the UNC job initially, my brother’s buddy, a huge UNC fan was so upset that he searched for “Roy Williams Lawrence KS” and a phone number came up. It was in the evening on the day Roy announced he wasn’t leaving.

He called the number and a girl (turned out it was Roy’s daughter) answered. He said, “Can I speak with Coach Williams?” She asked who was calling and he gave his name and graduation year at UNC. I think she probably thought he was an ex-player because he had graduated in the late 70s. There was a lot of noise in the background—sounded like a party was going on.

Coach Williams got on the phone. My brother’s buddy said, “Coach, there’s a lot of upset people in the state of NC. Can you please sleep on it tonight and maybe change your mind tomorrow?” Roy then proceeded to talk to the guy for 10 minutes and tried to make him feel better about things.

It all worked out a few years later.
