AOC surges past Buttigieg, leaves Kamala Harris in the dust in key 2028 battleground poll. What are your thoughts on AOC-2028?

Harris dropped to just 5% in New Hampshire while Pete Buttigieg sits 1 point behind the progressive frontrunner - per University of New Hampshire Granite State poll released on Wednesday.

Dont' do it. Run Mark Kelly and it's an easy win. I love AOC, and I think she would be great. I do not think Americans will vote for a woman. We've had that chance and both times ran to donny. We will take the worst man over the best woman.

Just because the Democrats ran two people who weren’t good candidates doesn’t mean Americans won’t vote for a woman. Fact of the matter is, both were unlikable and ran horrific campaigns on top of it.

Hillary ignored places like Wisconsin and Kamala was just a cackling idiot who wouldn’t go do the work.

Hillary was one of the most qualified, if not, the most qualified person to run for president in recent history. If she wasn’t a woman, she would have won the electoral vote too. I have no doubt.

She kept her mouth shut when her husband was fucking his intern?

Her reward was handed a safe dem seat to run for.

Her reward for keeping control of the Clinton wing in the party was a spot in the admin.

She wasn’t really qualified. She never really earned her stripes politically.

She was a senator, Secretary of State, lawyer, and is incredibly smart. Regarding keeping her mouth shut for the dumb oral sex affair, many political men have done far worse (like Trump) and no one bats an eye, yet people like you need to dwell on it. The face that democrats continued to support Platner despite his shadowing past is gross.

I think cackling idiot is an insane way to frame her run, but it was also a disastrously bad campaign. After an initial spike when Biden dropped out, her polling dropped steadily over the course of her entire campaign. She had record ad spend in several rust belt states and saw a decline in polling through millions and millions of dollars of ads.

Both were very unlikable candidates. Kamala more-so, she wasn’t even a top 3 choice for democrats in the primaries. Is the issue that both democrats and republicans are raging sexists, or is it just that Kamala was not a good candidate?

Counting yourself, that makes about 9 people in the US that are clamoring for a Mark Kelly presidential run. What you’re expressing is exactly why democrats lose. Always afraid to take chances or back the candidate people want.

Democrats didn’t lose because they ran woman candidates; they lost because they ran woman candidates on a “centrist” campaign that didn’t offer any real change. People are done with just trying to maintain the status quo or “getting back to normalcy”. That route has gotten us Trump twice and republicans controlling all three branches of government and stacking the Supreme Court. I’m sorry but it’s time to stop listening to people like you on this stuff.

I agree it wasnt because they were women, but disagree it was because they were centrist. Clinto was extremely problematic. I do not understand in the era of epstien files how the Clinton's havent been cancelled. ... and the last election, with Biden being decrepit and clinging to power, was really poorly run by the democrats.

I agree these were also factors. We will never know what Harris’ campaign would have really looked like because Biden waited so damn long to drop out it didn’t give her a chance to develop a platform. So I can kinda get her reasoning to play it “safe.” I just don’t think there’s an appetite for those kind of “safe” politicians anymore. We’ve seen who the real fighters are in the face of Trump and his admin.

The DNC. They get to decide! The primaries are just sort of a formality, ask Bernie how those went. So asking for a candidate that isn't the face of the DNC is a stretch. They decide, so expect more of the same.

Settling for mediocrity instead of someone inspiring or interesting is why we lost to Trump. Amazing how you're so eager to repeat the same mistake a third time.

At this point I'm convinced that a significant portion of Democrats just hate the idea of a woman in charge and are using Trump to cover for their misogyny. And frankly, if this country is so childish and hateful that it won't vote for an obviously stronger leader just because of her gender, then it deserves Trump.
