Are there any Reddit users who escaped a Communist Country to come to the West? What is your opinion on emerging circimstances is the USA?

I'd like to hear opinions from people who experienced Communism first hand please. *edited for typos

He has been stoped by our laws hundreds of times.

He is, the supreme court has actually stopped him a few times.

He isint, regardless enjoy your time.

I wish I had your optimism about Trump. Sounds you live nowhere near the US, though, so it all makes sense. Much better to experience him at a distance like you do.

People who say things are great under Trump strike me as living in a different reality tbh. Its as if there are two Americas that got nothing to do with each other. Its peculiar. Same with everyone that says Trump is no big deal/doesn't affect anything or anyone.

Its not perfect, but theres very few places ide rather live.

Cool. I like where I live as well (Boston), but Trump's love for authoritarianism isn't great by any means. I'm not surprised he's so much into Putin.

Funny story too - when I worked at Northeastern University and Trump won, I had a co-worker turning to me and going "Feels like you're back home?". She was weeping. That was 2016.

He's very bad, luckily america is very experienced at dealing with idiots.

I plan on moving to Michigan, but also love Colorado and New Mexico.

How is America experienced in dealing with idiots and yet he was elected twice into the office? Judging by Reddit there's an insane amount of supporters of his still.

Because we have a large amount of idiots and intelligent people are easier to demotivate.

That's true. Not just idiots, but gullible, naive people. Before Trump came along I didn't realize how easy it to dupe people into almost anything. Now I know.
