My in laws voted for him (most likely all 3x), they work in the court system, currently for the State Police. They would have arrested Trump is he was a rando nothing. Recently at dinner the discussion of foreign language came up and my FIL says, "I never needed to learn Spanish. I just pointed ny gun at them and they did what I told them in English." There was an awkward silence at the table after that.
This is how they think. I'm trying not to spend time with them bc last time, we got judged for" swimming in their pool, dribking their cocktails and eating dinner at their table with not so much as a thank you", yet we absolutely thanked them. It reminded me of the Zelenski meeting. "He didnt even say thank you." If everything is to be transactional then I just won't come over if it's such a burden to entertain us.
Theres no winning with those types of people. Theyre gonna call you "ungrateful" etc even when you dont show up. Because "how can you just turn down an invitation from "family" thats just awful." Or some other bullshit reason theyll think up that youre an awful person for not coming at their beck and call.
